  1. Beautiful model. I had a 1:1 that was very close to that color. Mine was a 350, 300 hp though.
  2. Off to a great start, David. Now you got me thinking about a Starliner build. I must have at least 10 bodies and interiors left over after robbing the chassis from them for other builds.
  3. I use the Statliner supplied firewall for all of my 62, 63, and 64 Galaxie builds.
  4. Things are coming along nicely, Jim. I noticed you were able to get the radiator support to work with the 63 grill and headlights piece. I always end up removing the two curved pieces, that sits behind headlights from the Starliner radiator support in order to get my grills to fit. I suppose there is more than one way to skin a cat. Also those slicks would not be legal back in the day on this car. Speed City sells nice 7” wide Racemaster Super Stock cheater slicks with two treads going around the tire. These would fit with almost no clearance issues at all. On all the cars I’ve built with this chassis, I had to remove the wheel stops on each side of the rear end, in order to push the wheel backs further on the rear. This eliminates any tire clearance problems that I encountered. I’ve built a few that were not built to the exact rules of 1963, and used wider tires on the rear. Can’t wait to see more progress.
  5. I saw that. He got schooled from a Nevada senator on closing the postal processing center, not realizing that the next nearest facilities access involves a very treacherous road that’s closed many times during harsh weather conditions. She even corrected him on the correct pronunciation of NEVADA. The guy is obviously a pea brained tool.
  6. Sorry, I should have provided more info. I’m building the Ulrey Brothers 66 Fairlane S/S car. Not being able to find many pictures of this car, I’m using the kit supplied 427 engine, and would like to use a tubular header. I filled all the holes in the floor pan where the factory exhaust system, and mufflers, would normally fasten. I remember hearing that some particular “ Torino” kit had a decent set that would fit a tight engine compartment.
  7. Thanks David, and Edgar. I appreciate your input. Thanks Bill. I have that kit you provided in the link. After tearing it open, just found plain ole manifolds. Just looking for a set that would wiggle into the AMT 66 Fairlane engine bay.
  8. Can anyone please tell me if the Revell/Monogram 70 Torino kit has tubular headers included with it? Or exhaust manifolds?
  9. I totally agree, Bill. Like you said, “ noticeably deteriorate” is the problem. Unfortunately, we live in a world now, that it’s not only the USPS, but many companies don’t want to hear anything from you after they have your dollar. Heck, you can’t even get a customer service person anymore, if something should go wrong, you either deal with a recording, or chat with a BOT. The only time a real person talks to consumers, is when some scammer from another country call your phone several times a day! SMH But, for all the people who do a great job, they deserve to be commended. It’s no fun to get feedback from a boss or supervisor only when you mess up!
  10. Here is our “ferocious little predator”….Reesie
  11. Check out TopEnd decals on Facebook. Jacks decals are more specific to drag cars, that were raced through the decades. Also SMP decals also has specific decals for drag cars.
  12. Beautiful build. When I worked for Coca Cola, we drove these particular trucks when running bulk. That was pretty much dropping off pallets of product at big stores. Gotta get that trailer done now. Nice job!
  13. Yes sir, as soon as I hurry, things can really start going south quick.
