The USPS really made my day... NOT!!! got a pink slip saying they wanted a signature for registered mail, checked tracking per the number on the slip, I have to pick it up from the post office...now for the fun part. their website, mail tracking and automated phone menu all say that the post office where my particular piece of mail is awaiting me is open on saturday till 1:30pm. I drive down there with my tracking slip three hours before their closing time only to see all doors closed/locked, no one there and a sign listing their hours which states they are closed on saturdays. After I get home, I call the USPS customer service number and after a 30minute-ish wait, the person on the phone tells me I have to go to the post office to get my registered mail (well, no shiatsu!), she tells me exactly the fake hours I already know about but was helpful enough to give me a direct phone number for that post office...I called the number and guess what? The automated message says that office is closed on saturdays. I'm a little bit passed the irked stage and working toward the "Things that enraged me" thread. Now, I won't be able to go get the probably underwhelming piece of registered mail till after I get off work on tuesday because monday is a holiday. Hope this isn't time sensitive.

an intact banjo steering wheel is worth it's weight in gold... my TR4 still has it's banjo steering wheel (with functional horn button) but the center section is different from TR3.

had to take apart the dash in order to get to the power window master switch, my 23 year old car is having plastic parts fail in Arizona (go figure). The passenger window switch went bad and sent the window all the way down (not good due to weather and fast fingered people). Removing the dash face caused more cracked plastic, I'm just not gonna pay $400 to make that look pretty again, the replacement switch is very precious also, at over $200 for a new one (not gonna put an old one in and have it break immediately).

That Centurion is a real gem of a concept car, I'm glad it didn't get destroyed like some others. While looking at your rendering, it struck me that the trunk area design made an appearance many years later on the "boat tail" Riviera. Cant wait to see more of your 3d projects.

I agree with Bill on this, it could be spun as a mid-sixties Buick concept car for the pony car market. I posted a similar concept by "photo-chopping" a '67 Galaxie. It's on one of my back burners, unfortunately, my back burners would fill a football field.

IMHO... It's highly likely that the person that designed the flip-nose hinge for this kit tested it before it got turned into a manufacturing mold, the view of the instructions as posted may not have been clear enough as to how the hinge pieces are supposed to look when attached to the flip nose. I think the take away will be... if something can be attached in more than one way, there will be times where it WILL be attached in a manner not intended by the designer. I implore anyone who may be having build issues to utilize the vast knowledge extant in this forum by asking for advice and/or solutions as so many have done before, most members here will step up and help out. And now for the fine print: (this is a rather long winded way to say that the builder in this post screwed up in more than one way, first being not test fitting the hinge and figuring out how it's supposed to work, lastly...blaming someone else for his mistake, which is not fair to several persons who design and test for a living and who are most likely model builders themselves)

The "A4 Garage" has been mentioned a few times previously in the MCM forums so this will not be new to some of the members, for those that want to stretch their skills that aren't familiar with A4 Garage, check out the videos. I have watched a few of them and noted that, with patience, practice and desire (and maybe some new tools) most of the building techniques are achievable by most of the builders here. Seeing them demonstrated gives us a head start on figuring out how and where to apply various skills. Note that the videos are not narrated but notes have been added that clarify materials used. I have WIPs that have (and still do) languished for decades, not due to comments or views....but mainly because of "non-hobby" events or I haven't quite sorted out certain aspects of the build. I hope you don't stop posting your WIPs because of a perceived lack of views, the "lurkers" will be most disappointed and builders will lose the chance to be inspired by your work.

Snake has a "Bring out your dead" thread but maybe it should be called "Bring out yer Zombies" or "Plastic Resurrection" for stalled builds.

The Youtube video link above is but one video in the A4 Garage channel on Youtube, there is no narration but there are occasional notes regarding materials used. If you click the "Watch on Youtube" box, Youtube will open to the A4 Garage channel. I have watched a few of the videos on the A4 Garage channel, each one shows techniques that are achievable by most builders, with a little patience, tools and supplies (I feel) a lot build process exhibited in the A4 Garage videos can be performed by any builder that chooses to build to this level. I personally am not at this level yet, but seeing this builder's process demonstrated (along with things I have learned from this forum) gives me a great starting point for how to achieve my own builds. I may have to acquire more tools and supplies. ?

excellent detail work on your hemi. an interesting note though, it appears that at least one car was built with the linkage conntected on the "non-vacuum secondary side of the carbs.
