  1. Terrific job!
  2. Almost finished this build - the white metal carbs and separate trumpets are great, I sourced these from Scale Productions. The radiator is from the Buttera Model T kits, as are the cut down rear lights. The aluminium steering column is made by Parts by Parks. I just need to sort out the wide moon tank at the rear, a friend will help shorten a piece of aluminium bar to fit above the frame rails in a couple of weeks.
  3. Coming along nicely, Ashley!
  4. Hi Jim, I used 1000 grit wet n dry.
  5. Great build and a well deserved award.
  6. Just completed this diorama, based on carparks here in Napier, New Zealand, with our signature low chainlink barriers. Thanks for looking.
  7. Superb start! That paint looks great, but because it is a candy, be careful how you sand it.
  8. Looking good David.
  9. And you US guys thought shipping was expensive - this is the highest I have ever seen on Ebay. US$459.39 to New Zealand! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-NEW-MPC-TOGNOTTIS-T/222380183305?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3Dc6991826bbdb4f2789cf217f6826ab4b%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D222380183305
  10. None of your updates are anywhere near "boring" Eric!! This is a build that truly falls under the 'awesome' category.
  11. I've had to start the interior from scratch and drew inspiration from a drawing by Steve Sanford. Just a basic application of half round styrene rod to create a rolled top and scrap sheet/rod to make the interior panels. The chrome trim was applied using a Molotow Chrome marker which seem to be taking the modelling community by storm, they work really well. The gauge panel is from Model Car Garage, with white paint applied to the back of the clear lenses. Windshield has been chopped and I'm going to leave the paint in the satin sheen. Just waiting for my Weber carbs to arrive from Germany.
  12. Head and Shoulders shampoo has "For External Use Only" on the label. ????
  13. I'll be watching this David, mine is on its way from Germany. Great start by the way, I like what you did with the wheels.
  14. Terrific work Eric, keep it up. The grille looks great to me.

    class of 2016

Nice work David, you had a great year.
  19. This is a wonderful, educational build, the best of what this forum has to offer. Many thanks, Bill.
  20. Lots of great builds in the three albums.
  21. Some really nice builds there, Bruce!
  22. Sorry Bruce, should have mentioned that it's the Gunze Sangyo version.
  23. Lovely builds.
  24. I built this for the Lowrider CBP and finished it today, my first of 2017. The suspension was lowered all round and fitted with Pegasus wheels/tyres. The paint is Testor's Sunset Red Pearl.
  25. I've finished the Karmann Ghia, had a few issues with the interior, but happy with the result. I have also painted a '64 Chevy that I might add to this CB and turn it into a more flamboyant ride, if I can pluck up the courage to do a wilder interior.
