Very nice work. It's a wonderful feeling to remove the masking tape and see the three-coloured body in all its glory!

Great build Shane. Looks like you added body colour paint to the grille, too.

Jade Grenade front engined dragster, based on the MPC 'Young American' with Slixx decals, Tamiya TS20 metallic green paint. Basic wiring and plumbing added, but had to remove about 3mm from the wheelbase. Kit comes with pad-printed Goodyear tyres, but fortunately also has M&H in relief on the other side, which I painted with Warhammer white acrylic.

Prior to taking retirement last year I was employed as a small business accountant in private practice. Only had two jobs, one in the UK for 30 years, then 11 years at a firm here in New Zealand. Still do some part-time work for my last employer.

Good luck with this, Rob, I'm sure you've made the right decision. I recently left New Zealand's largest city (I.4m) to live in a much smaller town on the Eastern coast (pop. 60k) and love it down here. As you say, no crowds, no traffic, no rat race. And it has a thriving modelling community and hobby shop - bonus!
