Great start!

I'm building the new Revell kit basically out of the box. The front suspension is lowered, the engine has been wired and I'll be changing the wheels and tyres. Paint is Duplicolour Red Metallic, which needs polishing to smooth it off some more (I much prefer Tamiya rattlecans). The more observant may notice that the cowl lip has been removed. This blown version certainly has a lot of induction!

Revell kit, Slixx decals, Tamiya Mica Red spraycan paint and Pro Track slot car front wheels. I had a few issues with the decals, quite brittle and wouldn't adhere well to the body. I covered them with two light coats of Tamiya clear, no problems, but a heavy coat caused them to wrinkle. As soon as it was touch dry, I rubbed the paint with a wet finger and amazingly it flattened the decals again, enough to sand lightly and clearcoat again (lightly) until reasonably smooth.

Great job, Pat. I'm a big fan of DTM too, and have just started this kit myself - so far I've got the body painted, the masking for the orange is a nice hurdle to get over, isn't it? I've already built the Schumacher version, it really is a great kit (as are the others in this series).

Yes, I think they are - I bought them via Ebay.

This is the Revell kit with Slixx decals, Tamiya Mica Red paint. Did a bit of engine detailing and added some aluminium front wheels, not yet fixed in position, hence the odd position of the Pegasus brake caliper

Me too, but I'll be buying one anyway!

Built mainly out of box, but with handpainted whitewalls and self adhesive wood veneer on the panels. The body is Tamiya Coral Blue, Racing White on the roof and seats. The wood framework is handpainted with acrylics and enamels.
