'37 Chevy coupe

All I had was these 2 photos my wifey took for me while we were traveling on route 17 in Gloucester county, VA a few years back.  It was difficult for me to get a good look at it but I knew right away that I needed to build it in scale. My version isn't a true representation but inspired by the unusual style of this 1:1. I tried to use the elements I observed and faked the rest 🥴IMG_0005.JPG.e327141a7691e2ea8c8d5095fbf5eab5.JPGIMG_0006.JPG.aae917e06134c39caa8efa7a28cfd902.JPGIMG_1764.jpg.6d5cd11cf00453b0a7d5a52d95bd7be4.jpgIMG_1775.jpg.07d799332529687f6360b2773bd8fc11.jpgIMG_1778.jpg.edd240d38e5f27788357879b493cfcf6.jpgIMG_1763.jpg.24bd5fb65d05618e53778ce3770def50.jpgIMG_1765.jpg.310e36bf6b98a1f533b5bdeb02390359.jpgIMG_1772.jpg.0234e7180d5a0fed16b52e3170d1c168.jpg

Great job all around,  big block is a nice touch.

Thanks, all.  I wish I could remember what kit I stole that big block from. I guess it'll be a surprise. 🤔

This looks great. I'm used to seeing models and 1:1 built as full Fender'd so this is a good change. Your model has a great looking paint finish, and the dark blue looks good.

Yeah, you don't see too many open wheels after 1934. The first one that I saw was at a Barret- Jackson event. Below.

I thought it was odd at the time but I think they're fair game now. It's a new look.IMG_1821.jpg.06a06668abec5131354843e03bba042b.jpg

That's a good looking Chevy!  I'm glad someone else likes Testors Model Master paints.  They were my go-to for over forty years but are no longer available in Australia.  I miss them already but fortunately still have a small stash to work through.

The Moroso rocker covers on your big block suggests it might have come from a Monogram Pro Stock Camaro!

Cheers

Nope, never had that one, Alan, what about the "Heavy Chevy?" I know I robbed that one. For all I know, the rocker covers were in my parts box (translate that to "mess")  It could be just about anything under those covers. I should probably write this stuff down. 🤔
