Saw her at an Arizona area Comicon in 2008, real nice lady.

These vinyl tires large scale kits tend to have sagging/flattening issues after being on the shelf for a while. Have you put anything "inside" the tires to reduce this problem? There is also the problem of the vinyl tire material attacking/melting the wheel plastic unless a "non-styrene barrier is added. That's cool if you are not concerned with any of these issues.

are you sure it's fireworks, could be attempted homicide.

It looks like Bill typed the "novel" that I didn't... (Bravo, Bill). The constant "off-shoring" of products that used to be made in the USA all in the name of "quarterly profits" and the current trend of utilizing temp/contract workers so that companies don't have to deal with health insurance and other HR issues, seems to me (from my "bottom up" view point) to be some of the main causes of impending economic ruin. I worked at a semiconductor company that decided to close the plant I was working at but one of their customers said that the computer chip that was being built at our plant performed better than the same chip when it was built at the companies plants in other countries. My plant was kept running for three years to satisfy the customers' end of life buy...that customer was Bosch. That plant closed five years ago and has been leveled to build apartments or "self-storage" (both seem to be interchangeable these days). Imagine a german company forcing a plant in the USA to stay open because the product they were buying was built better here than anywhere else. We will continue to receive carp as long as we accept carp.

IMHO, the problem is that we perpetuate the problem by not paying the prices to people that sell "quality stuff". Even in the model building arena, when we don't avail ourselves of aftermarket sellers, they tend to stop making the things we thought were so amazing at one time. It seems to be a really unfortunately huge snowball of reduced personal "disposable" income, rising cost of living and rising cost of producing "quality" products.

don't you have to use "special" off shore cleaner on those new wheels?

"Just sayin..." 'cause I just said it... -
This saddens me a little since I was with MLM when there were less than twenty members (I have proof...a thirty+ year old membership list). I hope this is just a coincidental observation rather than malicious intent between the two groups.

well played everyone. I only build for fun...but it's MY kind of fun. -
sounds like he was a temp/contract worker, companies get to treat you like disposable things when you "technically" aren't actually employed by them. this is just one of the reasons I find the current corporate hiring policies offensive and bad for the USA. as an employee, there is no good reason to perform any better than any of the other temp workers other than what it takes to keep from getting "let go". no loyalty to the company is needed, no desire to improve the product or process is needed....you are just a drone to "do the thing" they need done. ummm, yeah, that got a bit "ranty", but too many people in our "great nation" are in this situation whether they are great workers or not. I bet you could find out the impact on companies if you could get all temp/contract workers to take one day off (all on the same day) and then see how many companies are still able to meet their daily output requirement. I sympathize with Russ and hope he has better luck with his next employer (but I hope it's not temp work).

I think I have to agree with Colby on this one.

Looks like a great start to an annual event. Don't wait too long to get with corporate sponsors, some companies set their marketing budgets before their next fiscal year. -

one thing I learned about dessert.... I don't need to stuff myself with it to enjoy the flavor, so I limit myself to a few bites when I do have dessert. grazing is something I don't do, I'm not snacking when I am sitting at the computer, I usually drink plain water or coffee and sometimes thinned out fruit juices with no HFC's. I don't really keep soda at home to drink myself. the sugar drinks can be as bad or worse than the rest of the artificial food snacks consumed while lounging in yer bunny slippers.

they're usually good up to 140deg, it's one of the things you learn when growing up in Arizona.

good luck Bill, even if you don't "stick it to them" at least make them compensate you enough to get your truck back to how you had it. I got rear ended once at a signal intersection and the judge forgave the person that hit me just because there was gravel due to construction, that was just wrong in my opinion due to the fact that I was able to stop without hitting the person in front of me while in the same construction area, I don't care if my car wasn't new...I didn't have to replace the bumper before I got hit!

think of the carnage if he set it to full automatic.

I have to agree with Harry on this, self discipline seems to be the key for me also... that and sucky 12 hour night shifts. being old...er adds to the problem due to reduced metabolism unless a person remains very active.

I hear that Ray, Arizona is hard on bike riders, no idea why.

all I've got to say is there better be photos post after the show. -
My first impulse is to say no, mainly for business reasons. I doubt the projected profit versus the cost of tooling would come out positive. I like the "Imposter" and was fascinated with all the mods done to a stock Impala but I think this would be a "one and done" release which would get bought up by collectors as an investment and then resold later at "collector prices".

looks a lot like a Cummins, don't know the exact version of it...
