  1. well...that "wink" you may have missed might suggest I was kidding a little bit. otherwise, I will neither confirm nor deny what I may or may not have seen on real cars.
  2. don't larger spark plug wires get more spark to the spark plugs?
  3. Lately I've been reading just about anything written by David Weber ("Honor Harrington series, Safehold series) and Eric Flint (Ring of Fire "alternate history" series). Occasionally I will reread just about any of my Heinlein books.
  4. nice Shelby! you never know how much fun it is to drive topless until you try it.
  5. that paint color looks like you could use metallic green with clear over it, the Testors metallic green looks close to me (or maybe I'm thinking of Pactra metallic green)...
  6. sounds more like a "complex extraction", at least it was affordable.
  7. Curt, I really enjoyed seeing your work in person and chatting with you at DSC12. I look forward to seeing you again sometime.
  8. I also enjoyed meeting you and seeing your work in person.
  9. whiney coworkers!!!! Rather than ask why I may or may not have done something, they'd rather send rants to the boss.
  10. I have some rivet counting to do now....
  11. That would be the Aurora 32 Ford Sedan kit which was also had an earlier version released as "32 Skidoo", it's on my "to do" list since it is basically a replica of one of the early iterations of the Lil Coffin. I took some photos of Mark's 32-32 at DSC12, it looks real good to me.
  12. I love it! so many fun features on it.
  13. Link to more photos
  14. I have to guess the judges had some hard decisions and it ran a bit long, I had to leave before they presented awards due to a family commitment. an interesting side note; the Vulture funny car was a Car Model magazine cover car and the El Matador model on display was entered by the builder of the 1:1 "Matador 2", Terry Jones collaborated with Bill Cushenberry on how to replicate a faithful El Matador and succeeded quite well.
  15. I concur, excellent work, great engineering and execution.
  16. Here is a link to my photos from DSC12, great job by all involved.
  17. it's a beautiful day to hang with model enthusiasts.
  18. Next Issue... "Can I offer a suggestion or would you rather I stroke your....ego?" and "Where's my BLAH_BLAH_BLAH Like/Dislike button?!!!"
  19. I'd drill out the ends of the air cleaner inlets...but that's just me
  20. I used the search word "ugly" and it came up pretty fast.
  21. so...how many do have...on your "pin head"...?
  22. unfortunately, the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH helps pay for the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH that most sheeple want for free. why not pine for the simple command line interface...?
  23. food could be printed also... you could "print out" the best steak you ever had...repeatedly.
  24. I have come to the point of not doing the "last minute thrash" for contests, I'd rather have something that I'm satisfied with instead of something I will have to do over after a contest... so, I'll be on the WIP table again. the other "special project" will be completed before the contest.
