Good job, Michelle. A lot of these older kits can be real buggers to put together.
  3. Great looking model! It looks very, very nice.
  4. Unfortunately, it seems to be the times we live in. Too many people are letting their political views or lifestyle choices define who they are.

Great job Bruce! I built the snap kit as a birthday gift for my daughter. She loves Corvettes. Anyway when I came to painting the vents, I experimented with a black wash. I had to apply the wash a couple of times, but the final affect was pretty good.
  6. You have to take your pictures outside to see the full effect of the paint. The ones above were painted with Rustoleum Color - Shift paint, but I expect that the Testor's will be the same. The Magnum is purple to blue and the Monte Carlo is green to gold. This paint went on the same as the Testor's. There has to be a black base coat and then light coats of the Color - Shift paint.
  7. The argument that current NASCAR race cars are not stock enough is really getting old. This is a picture of the current Camaro street car compared to the race car. The ONLY differences are that the race car is slightly taller and longer. That's it. I saw a similar picture of the Camry a couple of years ago.
  8. This conversation and others very similar have been taking place since the days of Socrates and civilization has advanced. As much as each older generation wants to suggest that things are worse today than they were in the past, civilization continues to advance.
  9. I have heard others say that growing old is not for the faint of heart and that is very true. I learned a lesson from an aunt and uncle of my wife's. They scrimped and saved all of their working lives and claimed they would be quite the travelers after retirement. Once they retired, their health started to fail and there was no traveling. The only thing they really accomplished by scrimping and saving all of those years was that their kids will have a great inheritance. If there are things you want to do, and can do so without bending the budget too badly, then its time to do them.
  10. A monthly payment of only $3,083.00. What's there not to afford?
  11. You did a great job! It's a nice change of pace to see a Ferrari in a color other than red or yellow.
  12. Very nice save. I think the contrasting colors look good.
  13. Great job! Masterful craftsmanship.
  14. Looks great! Very clean build.
  15. If you can find a diecast on the cheap, guys strip these and repaint and decal them. A lot of them look really good.
  16. Outstanding work. Painting each color individually would have been quite the challenge.
  17. Great looking collection of models.
  18. Looks real good. Great job!
  19. Very nicely done. The paint and details are outstanding!
  20. You are acquiring quite a knack for these restorations. Great work!
  21. Congrats with your team's series win. I love the Stanley Cup layoffs because upsets like this happen every year. As far as Tortorella, enjoy the success. It seems his schtick begins to wear thin the longer he is with a team.
  22. Great job Steve with the build, and very well said.
