  1. As I recall NASCAR paid Revell a fee to produce the kits. I doubt Revell of Germany would turn this down if offered. What may be delaying this is that NASCAR, the teams and the car manufacturers are hashing out the rules for the 2021 cars. The manufacturers are pushing for a hybrid type of car, so this would dramatically affect model kits. If we get a modern kit again, I think it will be after the 2021 cars are set.
  2. I had the same problem as well. The way I got around this was to open Fotki in another browser and then drag the pictures into MCM. Not convenient on a laptop, but it worked.
  3. Turned out great Dann. Great job getting it across the finish line.
  4. Great work. Way to persevere with a difficult kit.

Great work! That generation of GM cars were among the sexiest to come out of Detroit. All of the GM divisions had gorgeous looking versions of this series of cars.
  6. Great work! They all look superb.
  7. Absolutely gorgeous!
  8. My suggestion is to get a scrap piece of plastic and see. I used the color and clear coat from the same company a few years ago and the layer of color turned to alligator skin. So using the same company for both is no guarantee that the result will be what you want.
  9. They will need a car for NASCAR. With Ford using the Mustang and Toyota perhaps going to the Supra, a sedan will look out of place, but the company has to make its business decisions.
  10. I bought this one a number of years ago and it sat in the closet. Finally started it about 6 months ago. It's built box stock. The body is painted Tamiya Dark Blue and the remainder is painted per the instructions. I did not trust the decals due to age, so I bought a set from Studio 27. I did not mess with the tires. I will scuff them and remove the mold ring, but they are so old, I was not sure they would handle the abuse. I colored the Goodyear lettering on the back tires with a gel pen and the fronts are decals. Anyway, it was a fun kit to build, but it shows its age in a number of places. Thanks for looking.
  11. Very cool! I like it a lot.
  12. Great job. Looks really nice!
  13. I think you are being a bit hard on yourself, it looks extremely nice.
  14. Great job! I really like it.
  15. Great work Michelle. The point looks cool!
  16. Outstanding work Dann. Really top drawer stuff!!
  17. Even after the years have passed, I am very sorry for your loss.
  18. I got back into the hobby in the 1980's and these are the first three I built. I do not recall the order.
  19. Great work! The race wear is well done as well.
  20. Very cool!. Brings back memories. Both of our kids really liked Dexter's Lab when they were little.
  21. Great start! I saw that livery at Kansas and its a very cool looking race car. What color are you going to paint the wheels? The reason I ask is that they were a very unusual color - almost like a clear or a candy orange.
  22. Very nice Keith.
  23. I had a former co-worker who bought a VW Beetle for her daughter. I realize its a different car but my comment might help. They had a lot of problems with the car, but her biggest complaint was that every repair had to be done at the dealership because the dealerships were the only ones who had the tools to do the repairs. They had to take the car to the dealership to get a headlight replaced. Good luck.
