Revell 1/16 scale New Hawaiian vs. Old Hawaiian
Daddyfink replied to Adhsdad's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Well, basically, that is the biggest difference between the two is the wheels and tires. The original issue has the soft tires and Cragar Super Trick Wheels, the new one has the E.T. Mags and all new tires. I have not tried the new tires on the old wheels. -
My LHS already has them, but I didn't buy one. I already have a few of the earlier issues.

The biggest problem I see with this is that it is not mine! This is Rad! It looks pretty spot on and very sharp! Nice job.

Tom was a very fine person and I am very grateful to have had some conversations with him about the Surfers and life in general. Vaya Con Dios.

That Red really pops! Nice set!!

I know, just chucking it out there ? I actually have a resin issue. This one might just get a good clean up, and maybe a decent set of wheels.

(seemingly) Same kits, different scales
Daddyfink replied to Jim H.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't know why they marked the latest re-issue of the Honcho as 1/24th since Revell is pretty much a 1/25th maker. Exceptions being when they use someone else's tooling and re box it as their own. But I never noticed the scale change on these kits. -
Yeah, apparently one of his co-workers was cleaning his garage and almost tossed them out! He saved them. I sure do, plus, he owes me a few ? From "The Lively Set" , right? Got'em! Now I need to take stock on what is missing and or broken.

Moebius out of modeling? (short answer: no)
Daddyfink replied to Reegs's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I highly doubt that they are out of the car kit business, given how much has been invested into it. Pegasus has always been a big supporter of the Model Car scene and I doubt they will stop that anytime soon. So unless you really know something, I would not be spreading false news around.
