  2. Built by SDMCC Member and Pres, Glenn Day
  3. A couple of old builds
  4. The AMT Ivo car will also work, but, you will have to do some body work.
  5. Wow, that is nice! Really dig that scheme
  6. Nice build and super clean!!
  7. I often wonder how a Revell FED would have looked if it had been done off the 1/16 patterns. It would have been one delicate piece. But way more accurate and better looking than the MPC cars.
  8. Looks very nice! Thanks for the pics!
  9. This is just plain weird to me....
  10. Inspiration? Heck, they are flat out small scale copies of the Aurora sets!! Just hope they also do the Funny Car parts!! They most likely have access to the sets or even the Tom West drawings/blueprints, as they still exists. How they managed to make them without Monograms permission is the question. Or did they have permission? I really would like to hear how Round 2 managed to pull this off.
  11. Wow! That is one cool looking build! Great job!!
  12. I believe that this was during the time Binney and Smith, yes, the makers of Crayola, owned Hallmark and Monogram! There where a few other cars in the series and I remember my then girlfriend getting excited and trying to buy me the Monogram '56 Chevy! Good thing I was there to prevent this tragedy!! They pop up once in a while at kit shows and I am tempted to try and collect them, but, I have no real idea how many kits where made in this series.
  13. Don't quote me, but at least 10 years or more
  14. Who can forget the the forgettable Hallmark series
  15. It is ironic that we got "Actual Model" box art because of "Truth in Advertisement" laws and yet we ended up with horrible models that did not actually match the contents.
  16. The funny part is that they did not come on the original issue of the kit as the "Red Neck Power Pick Up" but they did on the "California" version
  17. I am sure this kept the cost down for these Model retailers to not have shiny, glossy boxes vs. plain printed boxes.
  18. Wow, it got re-issued that long ago!? I bought a few when Walmart was clearing out its kits.
  19. I hope they back date the kit
