Engine bay is done and chassis work started. I had to scratch build the brake master and fluid containers. Also the rear end radiator was scratch built. -

BIN sealer shown below is very good at sealing plastic and puttying to give you a very stable surface to apply all other paints over. It does not spray well out of the can, it should be airbrushed. If thinner is needed alcohol works well as it is shellac based. It sands well also. The big box and smaller hardware stores have it.

The cars are 1/32 but Carrera tracks are wide enough to use the 1/32 and the 1/24. They make 1/24 cars also

In other words Bernie "you're fired" Actually I will miss him, he was an interesting character to say the least. A classic Bernie moment Bernie and the revolving door. -
The Future could have been easily stripped with Windex or ammonia without hurting the clear plastic.

Modelling Oddities/Mistakes
935k3 replied to NY Modeler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
A good story about the New Man Cars is the driver "John Winter" It is isn't his real name because he did not want his family to know he was racing for a living. -
Been working on this one a little while now. Body is TS-12 Orange. Wheel centers are Alclad Pale Gold. I cutoff the molded plastic hose and detailed the fire extinguisher with my own hose and cone with a clamp. I made the pull ring and my own decal. The roll cage is painted with TS-30 Silver Leaf and Spaztix chrome over top.

Need some help with primer/paint finish trouble
935k3 replied to Goodwrench3's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
There is actually a way to smooth out primer on chassis with allot of detail. I run into this problem with rally cars I build. I use a toothbrush and Soft Scrub cleaner. You could use something like COMET. make sure it is rinsed thoroughly under running water. -
Never miss it. The beginning of that video makes you the think of Steve McQueen's line in Lemans, "everything else is just waiting".

Country bashing is totally unnecessary on a model building message board.
