This weekend among all the other races the Nurburgring 24 is this weekend. It should start about 9:30 AM EST Saturday to Sunday at the same time. There is over 150 cars in the race. If anybody knows some good links to watch please post them here. What a track.

This is why Krylon and allot of non-lacquer paints have a re-coat window. On of the reasons I do not use them on bodies. The recommended windows are not fool proof.

Great looking model. They had the real car on display at the Watkins Glen Library a few years back. I remember the rims were faded to a very dull silver.

What airbrush are you using? I have had this problem with my gravity feeds when using decanted paint. Some airbrushes like the badger 200 I had would collect paint around the tip if the spray was opened too wide.

Spraying too close. The bubbles are caused by the propellant.

Great job on the decals.

Dash and interior done except putting the roll cage in. Got the semi-gloss black on the wing. I had to make the gauge decals and put a clear disk over them. The electronics boxes on the lower right and the boost knob are made from scratch.

Future floor wax question
935k3 replied to DrKerry's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Greatt builds Harry. milkiness might also be a humidity problem Future can be wiped off with ammonia which is safe for all paints except water based acrylics. I would not use Windex because it does some alcohol in it. I apply Future with cosmetic rounds(see pic). I dip them damp off the excess and carefully wipe it on. I use a Q-Tip for small areas. I use Future to seal all my decals. It's safe and can applied only where needed vs spraying it on. -

Great concept, I would like to the wheels in gold though. The seat pattern is great.

Great job especially the figure. The white graphic is the barcode for Marlboro.

F5000 was great. Has anybody seen this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6degIPQo7k The guy is washing an F5000 car, It's a Honda Ad. There were no Hondas in that series.

Allot of racecars over the years have done that. You do wonder if they care if the driver can see well. The worst case is the current Brazilian Stock Car series pictured below. Photo courtesy motorsport.com

It's good if you make your own fishing lures but it should not be used as a clear coat for models. It would be great way to ruin an airbrush if sprayed.

This one has not been built yest but is one of the tough mask jobs. It was painted Krylon(old formula lacquer)White then Tamiya TS-47 Chrome Yellow and to finish Krylon Lacquer Black. Note the driver "John Winter" was fake name because the real driver didn't want his family to know he was racing.

A few laps of the Toyota TS-050 qualifying for last weekends SPA WEC race. The cars now are using about a third of the fuel were allowed to use before this hybrid era started but the speeds are climbing. With electric kicked these cars have over 1000 bhp. Toyota Qualy

Engine in chassis and seat and interior work. Starting to work on dash. I can see by pics I need some touch up and dusting.

The duct hose is sprue wrapped with .015" solder from Radioshack then painted brownish orange mix of Tamiya Acrylics. The ducts are shaped plastic glued to the brake disks.
