  1. Beautiful job. The colour suits the Hudson shape perfectly. I’m jealous of your BMF skills.
  2. This looks great. I’ve seen this built as a rally car before, but never as a a road version. What is flawed about the front end? It looks fine to me.
  3. This is a stunning Ferrari. I am surprised we don’t see more of these Hasagawa Ferraris on here. You have really made a great job of it.
  4. Simply beautiful!
  5. Love those wheels. This is going to be a beauty.
  6. When is the new AMT '66 Mustang due for release?
  7. Good work on correcting the engine bay. This is something that also bugged me about the AMT/MPC kits.
  8. That is insane! Simply stunning. I really thought this was pics of a 1:1 car at first.
  9. Very nice build Walid. I have always thought the subtle Primrose yellow suited the e type. I would love, love, love to see Tamiya do an e type. The Gunze kit is nice, but only available as a roadster.
  10. Great work so far. It really stands out in that red ??. Just out of curiosity - you clear coat after putting the BMF on? I’m guessing this’ll help seal the BMF in place?
  11. I did think of that approach. It may have been easier. The original 'glass' in the Fujimi kit kind of fits perfectly into the window aperture - making it almost flush from the outer surface. I wanted to retain this flush effect. That would have been tricky with a vac formed part. I'm sure a modeler with skills beyond me could have done it. Thanks for the link. I was not aware of that transaxle. I'm building this particular model without an opening engine compartment, but I may have been tempted before I painted this. I did find some other cool stuff on that link. Going to have to get some 3D printed Baronni wheels for another project now.
  12. Just a small update on the '57. I've been getting the body ready for paint. In the pic below the red arrow points to a frame that I've scratch made. This will be behind the grille and barely be seen. It will allow me to attach a tiny magnet that will hold the hood shut. Below, you can see the magnet in place. Once this area is painted satin black, I'm hoping the magnet will not show quite so much. The kit allows for the hood to be displayed in the open position with a pair of rather nice hinges. If you want to display with the hood shut then you have to leave the hinges out. I want to display the model with the option to do both, so rather than glue the hinges to the body, they are held in place with magnets. The idea is that I can remove the hinges, set them aside and close the hood. Then, if I want to display with the hood in the up position I can put the hinges on. I hope this works as I hope. Under the hood I have fitted another magnet. This lines up with the one on the body. Yes - I did ensure the magnet was the right way round to attract and not repel. I've added some light grey Mr Hobby primer. I find this makes it easier to see imperfections in the body much easier than the white plastic. I struggled a little with the front bulkhead (firewall). It didn't seem to fit right. Not sure if I did something wrong here. It's fixed with a little filler to take up the gap. I had to make some minor tweaks to the opening panels so they fit flush, and now its ready for the proper primer - white this time. Thanks for watching my build. Your comments are always welcome.
  13. Your work on the dash is very impressive. Interior looks so much better. I think a ‘sealed’ diecast is much nice than one with any opening panels. The manufacturer’s often make such unrealistic and oversized hinges.
  14. Great colour choice.
  15. WOW - A new tooling of something I actually REALLY want. I wonder how long I'll have to wait to see it in the UK?
  16. This is coming along nicely. Nice work on those hinges. I’m guessing the hood is white metal? What adhesive are you using to attach the hinges to the hood?
  17. Nice work on those stripes ??
  18. Excellent work on those hinges. Is this project still ongoing?
  19. Sooooo cool!

Very nice indeed. You have a lot of Mopars on that transporter!

I think you made the right decision. No opening doors is better than badly fitting doors.
  22. Beautiful job.
  23. Simply gorgeous! Nice to see one in blue.

Super nice build. Thanks for sharing all the build tips you learned along the way. Are the doors separate pieces on this Revell kit?
  25. Very nice indeed. I would guess this is the Monogram kit.
