Which 73-89 gmc or chevrolet pickup truck cab is the best, in quality and accuracy? I'm building a c60 soon, and would like the best starting point I can get. I'm thinking the fallguy pickup would be a good start..If I can find one..every kit I see fetches fricking 30 bucks! it was reissued a few years ago too. Any recommendations on the best pickup cab to look for?

I Switched My Cable Co.Now......

STOP spreading that information, What is your proof? Only time I ever got a virus with firefox is by my own stupidity. It is much safer out of the box for the general user than internet explorer. Ive been using firefox for around 8 years. Just by downloading firefox, you arent gonna get viruses installed from mozilla.... seriously. -
True enough, But If I have it on hand..it wont hurt much to at least try it.

Drag City Casting UPDATED 7/10
RyanSilva replied to sdrodder's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Firefox has viruses?..bull FireFox is more secure than IE....period. What did you hear or experience to say that? -
Finished up a few different versions. Based on Chevy rally wheels, first set is the 1/24 revell camaro style (works well with 1/25 now) and the other is based on the new nova. Had these past few days on ebay, seem to be doing ok. These are 2 piece style, so it is easier to detail if need be. Very shallow fronts, and pretty deep rears. Fit willy's street rod rear tires very well, and amt slicks too. Fronts fit the moroso or revell drag car goodyear based front runners. These here are the 69 nova based versions. Open holes. Il move onto these when I use up my mold on the ones above, they both use the same rims, just different centers. Still a 2 piece design like above. This will be in the molds on thursday, and ready on the weekend. (no chrome sorry, this is just the master) Anyone know where to get the open face rally wheels? They got the dust caps and lugnut details, Those are my next pieces.. Even if they are lent to me, I wont harm them, Il cut up the resin version.

Hey guys sorry I have not replied. Been swarmed with ebay orders, I hope to get these done next week. I did some test molds..Im 90% happy with the resin product. I got more silicone on the way and more resin, should be up full time next week, iIl keep you guys in tune with the details. Im working on a website, so I can by pass ebay and the higher prices (pretty pricey fees, is why)

Nice work Lyle! those loook so sweet painted up. When I made my set I broke through them sanding the backs for the holes.

Are you using a pressure pot? if not it is a wise decision to do so, to get great quality casts. Save money in the long run also, with less product with air bubbles.

Anyone know the release date for this set? Its the dodge L-700 semi with a short trailer and a little red wagon dodge a100 on the back. Gonna be a cool kit, box art looks neat. -
8 lug truck wheels? and NOT dually's.
RyanSilva replied to RyanSilva's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thanks Matt! Im not worried to much about size, I got a bunch of sleeves I can modify them to fit into, even so most of them wheels were 16.5 If i recall. on 1:1. -
Here are some wheels Ive been making for 2 years now..not continueously, just off and on, try new things, scrap ideas etc. Here is where Im at now. They got a TQ Thrust wheel (track star) style going with them. Rears consist of a seperate 5 lug bolt patern that mounts behind the wheel. Has seperate bead lock rims. All seperate for easier detailing, seeing that chrome and black wheels are very popular today. (my favorite color combo for years now before it was a trend) Front wheels can be spindle mount or using the 5 lug spacer, be converted to a regular 5 lug drag/weekend warrior wheel for the front. They fit revell slicks and front runners. (funny car/pro sportsman, and others that share the same openings as the previous mentioned) Right now Im making the spacers and such, then Il cast the rest Have not seen any drag wheels like these in scale, at least this style of setup, so Im pretty happy to master these up. I got a friend whos getting the first pair to test them out, as I stopped building drag cars for a while. They all mount on 3/32 tubing. here are some quick shots.

RyanSilva replied to HEdwards2009's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I got a dremel xpr 400 with the flex shaft. It's a awesome tool, VERY powerful, I just wish the base rpm wasnt so high. -
Watched the full episode this morning....was a pretty ###### good show, that Fxx lap was freaking amazing. Watch James May on the moon if you can, what a great show that was.

jerrys house of resin
RyanSilva replied to l88 chevelle's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I was wondering the same thing, I had a friend who bought a chassis from him, and it was loaded....and I mean loaded with pinholes and it was warped. Judging by the pinholes it actualy looked to be a improper resin ratio. Some slight swirling was evident too. This is a few years ago, so Not sure if the parts have been improved or not. -

Those steel wheels look like the ones from the 48 convertible kit. The steelies fit into the speedway tires perfectly. -

New Revell '32 Ford 5-window coupe
RyanSilva replied to Bernard Kron's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Wow..seems revell really did there homework, not that they didnt in the past, but I mean they really made it appeal to the hot rod builders! I hope the new releases this year will follow with the same homework to there interpreted genre. So where getting steel wheels instead of the spoked wheels from the sedan? sweeet!
