  1. Bob you're a masshole too? Woot!
  2. You beat me to the Big Job! Ive been slowly chipping away at mine (fenders, fuel tanks and wheels) Nice work on that Matt!
  3. Competition Resins has them also, pretty awesome looking!
  4. The double dragster wheels are based on the super tricks. Yes the conical center isnt their, but the wheel bolts are the same -15 secure the two halves together. My only thought is, AMT took the easy way out and just did not do the domed center. Even though the Drag centers aren't domed as much like the Street versions These are the drag versions. The centers are more gradually domed in the center. I'm not sure what kit it is, but there has been a accurate set made by mpc/amt/revell/johan, just cant think of which company. http://static.racingjunk.com/63/ui/8/70/15374708-308-4-VINTAGE-CRAGAR-SUPER-TRICKS.jpg
  5. Heavy duty trailer!!! wreckers!!! unimog!!! woo no more OOP ridiculous prices
  6. That's like the 80-100 dollar model king MACK kits
  7. Which ones? revell 1/24 or AMT 1/25. I have a few to do after I get a few piecrust and front hot rod tires done
  8. I'll take this waste of space show over any of the U.S Reality shows we have here..
  9. Micro Mark or Internet Trains, few others also..google it!
  10. Yup mine came from also...LOL. I got mine won on a open auction, for 25.50 - 4.00 I had with ebay bucks..and it came out to about 29.50 with shipping! I'm really sad that none of my corvette valvecovers are usable, they all have sink marks.
  11. I was not expecting the size of the tin! Its about 14x10 inches! It really makes a statement on a shelf in my opinion.
  12. I wasn't expecting the supertricks..but I am sure glad they are in it! Nice pointout on the 12 spokes.. These are just another version to add to the pot, So far I think there is about 4 different versions of the 12 spokes, The best Ones Ive seen to date are in the 57 Ford..but I really like these too. My white wall piecrusts are slightly offcenter a tad too..
  13. So my kit arrived this morning and my first impressions were "WOW!!!! THIS IS AWESOME" when I first Opened it. It may be because I'm giddy to finally own this kit. The first thing I did was looked at the tires. 2 sets of Piecrust slicks and 1 set of Goodyear Blue Streaks. My Goodyears are still offcenter!!!! ..just not as bad as they use to be. One side is worse than the other. Front tires are the good'ol Firestones that every other kit has, only 2 have white walls and the other is plain. Chrome! x3 You get two identical chrome sheets with this, the sheet that contains the halibrand smoothie wheels and the 4 small block intakes. 6 of the 8 corvette script valve covers have sink marks! That is a big bummer... Luckly you get 8 of these so only 2 are perfect.. The decal sheet is beautiful!!! I'll update this later on some more.. More pics here : http://public.fotki.com/73OldsOmega/double-dragster/
  14. Thanks guys I'm almost done with the bed..just a few spots to putty, some tail lights to add and some bottom reinforcements under the diamond plate. It scales out to be a 8 feet wide by 10 feet long. Perfect for a short wheelbase crane truck if you use one of those italeri cranes.
  15. Do very light coats of clear at first, so you dont wrinkle the decals just in case they dont like the clear. Few light coats should give you some insurance.
  16. LOL it's a disease Chuck! I'm back on this thing.. And Today I started the bed. Uses Don Mills diamond plate plastic, this stuff is awesome! Still some filling and sanding needed, along with some under structure and lights to add, before I pull a mold off it
  17. Jody, The cheapest way to get great nut and bolt's are from tichy train group or grandt line. Most are in o scale or HO scale, but they scale well to 1/25. They have a few smaller hex bolt and nut sizes for 1/25 cars, That I will be buying that arent shown in the pic. Prices are about 2.50 for a pack of 48-200 bolts/nuts O scale is about 1/48 and roughly half the size of 1/25 so there you have your 1/25 scale bolt size.. O scale 2.5 inch bolt will be 1.25 inch bolt in 1/25 scale.
  18. Woohoo! I gotta call and find out how much for a small vendor spot!
  19. Everything is fine Just been a bit busy with resin orders, have not had much free time, I'll be back on it very soon!
  20. Yea the smell sucks, but I found it easy to work with, not sure if you use a pressure pot, but that makes the biggest difference.
  21. Why not use smooth-on kick-it! http://www.theengineerguy.com/67540A-Kick-It-Accelerator-1-Pint with smooth-on reoflex urethane rubber. Works great and cure time is cut down a lot!
  22. Over here.. you skip jury duty you face 1000 dollar fines.
  23. You can use nose tissue/kleenex for tarps. You can tea dye it using some water, with some tea bags steeped into the water till it turns a amber color. Let the tissues soak in it briefely and allow to dry, they are surprisingly pretty soft and hold the color well. (like a canvas)
  24. lmao! Actually I got summoned to the one in fall river, on 45 rock street. I wish it was local, but hey..at least I ate at the popeyes chicken I didnt know existed again. They didnt get to kick anyone out, as my group was just told to wait for the duration with out going through the selection proscess. We got lucky. I got another at the taunton court..but that should be wavered since I' did my civic duty for the next 3 years.
