  1. That looks terrible, you better send it to me asap! lol! Just kidding..... A stunning build, I don't know what else to say. Very nice work on adding the gauges to the dashboard, a detail that seems to often go overlooked on these cars. Congrats on a truly beautiful build, Rod!
  2. I happen to be building the same kit right now. I haven't come across any fitment issues so far, but I did raise the suspension some so it doesn't have the lowrider look to it, as Bill mentioned above. Blocks out back, and up front, cut the bosses of the spindles and re-glued them lower. x3 on it being a manual transmission as well. Good luck, and keep us updated.
  3. Very sharp! That would look so good sitting on one of my shelves, lol! I hope Mobeius comes out with a 4x4 version of their upcoming trucks.
  4. Heck of a first car Bob, I'm jealous! My first was a red, cough, '90 Ford Probe GL, cough. It was actually a pretty reliable and good car. I even spanked a late 70's or so Monte Carlo with it once. Probably had more to do with the chump behind the wheel of the Monte more than anything else though. lol
  5. Wow, that is a great build. As Bruce said, silver is not an easy color to work with, but you pulled it off beautifully. Those Monte's did make for great looking Nascars.
  6. Great build, and nice work with the decals. The Torinos and Cyclones are my favorite from the era. Oh how I wish today's cup cars still looked like the cars they "represent" on the street.
  7. It came out looking good, Joey. I'm sure your next will be even better, congrats.
  8. Excellent build Steve. If I get my hands on another Big John Cuda, I'd like to build it as this car as well.
  9. Sweet, never get tired of looking at those old Willys.
  10. Great foil and interior work Niko. Those kit decals look really sharp, you've got me thinking about picking up one of these kits.
  11. Very nice indeed! You and your son have some real talent. Keep them pics coming.
  12. Very nice Mango! It's cool to see a Vega built. The lettering you did is far better than what I could pull off.
  13. Yes sir, that is one mighty fine looking Mopar. Amazing work Rod. Edit.... I started thinking I'd seen the 1:1 you were inspired by, so I took a look in my photobucket and there it was. I think, anyways, it's the same one. It was at the Mopars In The Park show in Farmington, MN last year.
  14. Very nice, it's always good to see Torino's, especially built as nice as this one is. Congrats!
  15. Killer stance, and Toreador Red sure does look good on it. Great looking build, and hope to see more of it soon.
  16. From one Ranger driver to another, welcome, and good to see you over here too. LOL. Bill gave some great advise on using enamel paint. I tend to go by the smell test as well....usually from about a week to several weeks seems to be the norm. If your paint still feels a little tacky by Sun/Mon, even if it doesn't really smell, I'd hold off for at least a couple more days before masking and painting the rest of the body, just to be safe. I try to use lacquer whenever possible, but still do use enamel from time to time. Good luck, and am looking forward to more updates.
  17. You're making great progress Niko. She's gonna be sharp when finished, looking forward to more.
  18. Hmmmm, looks very familiar to me. I built one in a slightly darker shade of red, with a black interior. Your's looks very sharp, love that shine. I agree that this is a great kit, everything falls into place with little fuss. On a side note, I didn't have the hood fitment issue with mine, luckily.
  19. Wow Carl, very nice paint! It's hard to believe that you didn't polish it. That is such a pretty color and suites the Bel Air very well. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  20. Nice and clean build Carl, just like you always do. You don't see this gen. of Firebirds built very often.
  21. Lookin' good. Those AMT Cyclone/Fairane kits are fun to build.
  22. That is a radical, and outrageous, build! What a cool idea. Excellent job blending the two cars together.
  23. Very sharp, I like it.
  24. Another beautiful Bird. Congrats!
  25. Stunningly beautiful build, Tulio. That green is very sharp, and the shine is simply incredible.
