  1. If you are talking about the Aftermarket Directory, all it gives is the website.
  2. Resin Model Ranch is back from their hiatus where they had a wedding and were supposed to build up the inventory. The site looks like they are up and running again but there are fewer models in stock than before they shut down. I wanted to send an email asking when the 61 Falcon wagon would be available but could not find any contact info. Does anyone have an email? TIA Sam
  3. I wish my mind worked just a little bit like yours. WoW...just WoW...
  4. Very unique!
  5. That is awesome!
  6. Simply un-be-liev-able! I want one of those engines, but my firstborn is out on his own, and I just can't spare an arm or a leg.
  7. Looking good!?
  8. Years ago I walked through a car show in Casper, great cars. I see that the tradition continues. Love that little Yamaha. I restored a Suzuki 185 about the same color and era as that one. In fact, I sold it to a guy in Casper that collected them. Might be the same guy. Have you ever been to the Lusk show?
  9. You have a great looking start. Love the color and the mods really help. Years ago I built the Buick in this same series on a different forum specializing in dirt track subjects. I also thought the wheels were really wrong. In the ensuing discussion, one of the members showed pictures of a series ran (IIRC) in New York in the 70's. The cars looked just like this series of models, so don't sweat the look. ?
  10. That is drop dead gorgeous ?. I used that same green on a 57 Chrysler and it really pops. Breaking it up with the white really sets it off. Kudos!
  11. Thank you for the instructions. Funny thing, I lived 50 miles from Bob for 23 years, yet never heard much about him until I met one of his best friends. Learned a little bit about him and saw some of his work at the museum in Salt lake.
  12. You sure do build some cool subjects. My dad had a '62 Chevy pu in factory Robin eggs blue. Love that color.
  13. Interesting. Are these disks available on the market, or you make your own, and if so, what type of paper have you found works the best? Also, where did you get this idea from? I use the thin abrasive wheels for most things, but when they come apart...
  14. You sure made that look easy. WoW! How are you going to tackle the RHD?
  15. You get a lot done in an hour. Nice save! I managed a couple hours myself.
  16. Don't be too hard on yourself Bill, looks great. Just remember, if you decide to throw it away, throw it my way. ?
  17. Great build. Your color choices really enhance your builds for me. Looks familiar though...
  18. Excellent build, would love to drive one just like it.
  19. Well worth the time and effort. Great job turning that sows ear into a silk purse. Display it with pride.
  20. Phenomenal work. I enjoyed the large scale slotcar racing for a number of years. Very, very gut wrenching when all your hard work hits the wall....or goes over.
  21. I bought this lot about nine or ten years ago. When it was still cheap to ship international with usps. I found this add in Craigslist about models for sale. I called and talked to a very nice young lady. What it boiled down to was that it was her father's hobby and he had died from cancer. She was 18 at the time and her mom said she could keep the collection or sell it and put the money towards her college fund. She started selling the planes on ebay but became overwhelmed by it even though she did sell them. When I asked about what she had as far as car models, she wanted to know what I was looking for and she would look through the collection to see if it was there. I said that I was interested in all of them. I heard her gasp, and then verified that I said ALL? After reassuring her that I was serious, she said she would give me a very detailed description of what was there, but it would take time. I assured her that was fine and not to stress about it. Three weeks later she called and said it was 400 unbuilt with a number of partial built/parts kits. I went and looked at them, then asked her how much she wanted for the lot. We worked out a price and that was that. Here is a pic of my Suburban packed front to back with the kits, just slightly higher than the bottom of the windows. Took out all the seats and even put them in the cubby holes in the floor. Not 1000, but still plenty, and a good portion were drag subjects, which were very popular with different European buyers on ebay when I sorted out which ones I didn't want to keep.
  22. Pierre, I moved 1300 miles...twice, and found that this worked well for me. I purchased a few of these totes from Walmart and a couple bundles of micro fiber towels. I then washed the towels a few times with fabric softener to, well, soften them some more. I then put a layer of towels on the bottom of the tote, placed the models in the tote and cushioned them like so. Never damaged any of them, and the plus side of the micro fiber is that they are relatively lint free. You can see that I bought two different size towels. The smaller ones I take from opposite corners and roll them up, placing them around and in-between the models. You will notice that the models do not shift easily. I put all models that do not have anything like antennas or wings on the bottom layer. Put these on the upper level, surrounding them with towels like on the lower level. Like I said, I have moved them twice this way with no damage, and even use the same setup for taking multiple models to shows. Make sure that you place the totes on the top layer of the packing so to avoid accidentally crushing the lid, and only stack the totes on top of each other if you can pack other boxes around them to prevent them from sliding around. However way you pack the totes, make sure they cannot slide around. Hope this helps.
  23. So what is the ratio between what you are selling and what you are buying? ?
