  1. Where will you find a ' 02 gt? I haven't been able to find any new edge GT or 03/04 Cobra models, except for a 99Cobra...got one need a later model GT, or Cobra. I can't believe that revell never offered a 03/04 Cobra!
  2. can't be any more frustrating that when I was building my 97 Cobra. That took 2 kits to finish it. What a royal pain. I fought and fought that model. To be honest I almost threw it in the trash.
  3. yes I do, need to get them on a place where I can upload them to here. Any suggestions as to where I can upload to so I can send them here?
  4. Nice, I have a 97 cobra that I built from the AMT kit! Man I had so many problems with it. The body would not fit over the interior/frame work up, I had to take it apart over and over trimming it, finally got it to fit. Worst kit I ever built. I made it to match my 1:1 98 Cobra. Paint is samo as mine it's Bright Atlantic Blue. Factory cobra wheels, lowered to like my 1;1 is. Motor painted to match my real car. I put it on display when I take my real cobra to autoshows, and Mustang shows. Folks live seeing the 1/25 compared to the 1;1. My real car only has 56K on the odometer, bought it new in 98. In 09 added this, now it smokes the tires all the way to 110mph, 518 HP, 443 torgue on 13 lbs boost! VORTECH SUPERCHARGER KIT V-2 SI TRIM SATIN COBRA - SN95
  5. nice PU! I was working on one recently, got so BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH frustrated with it I threw it in the trash!

I have a friend here in Denver that has a beautiful 65 Cobra. Real car! It has a 427 in it now. It has a 476 blower on it, sticks out of the hood way up high! You just tap the go fast pedal on it and your sideways in an instant! The thing is amazing on a ggod track with huge mickey thompsons!
  7. you must be from Colorado, who else but old farts like me would still remember that
  8. lol, not only does the model's need to be lowered, but I have a 98 Cobra, the thing looked like it had 4 wheel drive. I finally got fed up with people asking if it in fact was a 4x4, so I lowered the car by 11/2 inches, the wheels and tires looked like they should have from the factory. filled the wheel wells, also made the car handle like it is on tracks.
  9. That my friend is a work of art! I wish I was as adapt at building as you are!
  10. Beautiful job! I'm jealous! Need to get one now to build my own!
  11. do you have a pic of the exhaust yet? Your making your own, right?
  12. my question is; how to tell which is the newer revised model, are the box graphics the same? Is the new model a "streetburner" series model and not the original one!
  13. I have tried to get younger folks interested in modeling, I think that allot of people see this hobby as a kids toy. I think that the main reason that the hobby is slow right now is because of computers, and the facebook crowd. Lets face it, there is just too much of spare time being wasted looking at a computer or gaming screen...LOL, yet here I am on my computer. (only because of taking a break from the last 3 hours of working on a model pickup). Also my collection is growing as well. With winter coming on I will have more time to put into modeling again. I quit modeling back when I was constantly working on my 1:1 projects when I was 24, however since retiring I have got back into it I just think that the younger generation (milliennals) just have too many other things to occupy their minds.
  14. Everybody else has said it all! My only wish is that I could do 1/10th of the spectacular work that you have done on these beauties.
  15. nice build you have going there. I'm like you chopping is not my best suit! Have had some real disasters. Gave them to the trash truck!
  16. I know there are all kinds of ways to make stuff look like wood for beds etc. and everyone seems to have a nice idea on how to do it. I was at hobby lobby awhile back and ended up in the area where they have all of the art pens etc, lo and behold I found this double ended pen that works fantastically to simulate wood. It is called "PRISMACOLOR premier". It has the color on the barrel, it has two sizes of felt pens in it, one is real fine the other is almost a small brush. The one I use to simulate Oak, and teak and some other woods is called Goldenrod. I use the small tip for making grain, and it comes out beautifully. It takes a few tries to get it to look really right, but is very easy to use. If you make a mistake I have used alcohol to wipe it clean then do it over. It cost $4.49 and of course don't forget to print out their coupon before going to get that little bit of a discount. Also I use a gold sharpie, and silver sharpie to get certain effects. They also have a real fine point sharpie pen in a number of colors that are very useful for really fine detail work where you want wood tones. I hope this will be of help.
  17. I like the way you did that interior. Yeah, the trailer should be a fun add on to this project. My dad had a trailer made from a 49 pickup bed. all home made, we used t haul hogs, chickens etc in it and in the picup we hauled cows, steers, and a couple of times our best saddle horse. The truck would be tail heavy so the steering was should I say VERY light. made one wonder if the wheels were even touching at times. My dad never worried about it, just kept plugging away!
  18. I just wish that Revell or one of the other co's would come out with a kit. That one on ebay is really rough looking, and WAY to expensive for my taste
  19. Thanks for that bit of info Pharoah. I think this will be a fun kit to finish. What do you think of the sideboards cattle truck theme? Thinking of building a trailer also from another old PU that I have to go with it, you know a hog hauler!.
  20. Well finally getting around to working on a new project today. Still depressed from the Super Bowl so have to do something. Just got this '53 F 100 and am wondering if there are allot of fitment problems like the '56 F100 that has been on here before. Anyone want to chime in please do so. I think I'm going to build this with a wood bed, wood side rails and ends. Thinking it would be cool to make it into a farm stock hauler like my dad's was back in the day. Or perhaps hauling wood or some other project. Thoughts? Here are a few shots of the box for now.
