  1. Good luck Danno and Bernie on the show. Sure wish I was going to be there, but the nine hour drive just isn't going to happen. There's always next year!!
  2. It's looking really good Ray. That is going to be my next large scale build so I'm curious as to how the parts fit is, and how well it goes together.
  3. That is a great looking '56, I love the color! That would be a beautiful 1:1 wagon to own.

    BMW Z4 GT3

That is a mean looking BMW!!
  5. When we moved from Arizona to California last year all of my built models, most of the un-built models, the model case, and all the plaques had to stay in our house in Arizona due to downsizing. Prior to moving the plaques all got boxed up. Entered one contest since I've been here and that trophy is in the closet.
  6. The doors were painted two weeks prior to wrapping them in saran wrap and spent two hours of that time in a dehydrator. I thought they were cured but as peteski mentioned the scalefinishes paint does seem soft. I did not clear coat over the paint, but it had been waxed with Meguiars prior to wrapping in saran wrap. The doors have been painted three times, once because they were masked with Tamiya tape and put in the dehydrator with the tape still on. Bad idea!! I have learned a lot painting those two doors, at least I know what not to do!
  7. Ok, I used saran wrap and Tamiya tape to wrap a set of doors in order to paint the wing windows with Alclad chrome. Everything came out good, but now I have all these ghost marks on the Scalefinishes paint job from the saran wrap. What can i use to remove the marks? Will they wash out with soap and water, rub out with wax,or what?
  8. Amazing!! The body is still in one piece, that takes a lot of restraint to not just chuck it!! Great job Chris!
  9. Thanks for the heads up Ashley, that mesh looks great!
  10. Started an F50, haven't gotten very far, and with my glacial building speed this is going to be a long build. These pictures are of the Crazy Modeler photo etch pieces I have put together so far. I have never tried to put more than a few PE pieces on a model before so this has been quite a stretch for me, and my inexperience shows. Each brake rotor consists of 26 PE pieces, the fans are made up of five pieces each. These are the before paint pictures, hopefully I don't lose a bunch of detail once painted.
  11. Looks great so far, excellent paint job on the body.
  12. Amazing work as always John, you never fail to impress!! Beautiful paint.
  13. Beautiful Chevelle!! Great year for a great car, very well done!
  14. Great job, that is a sharp looking truck!!
  15. Holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH Chris, that is some serious dedication to researching a project!! Very cool.
  16. Gregg: Glad to hear your latest surgery was successful. Thank you for your continued hard work on the magazine, both the magazine and the forum are huge assets for all us car guys!
  17. Love the color!! Great job.
  18. Looks really nice Tom, but I believe you have the front wheel trims on backwards. The decals go on very well and really make the car look great. Good luck finishing it off.
  19. Got to agree with Chris: keep them all and add Pro Mod. I would also like to see Pro Truck come back. Those poor guys got shafted royally by the NHRA!!
  20. I also got 8 of them right which kind of surprised me, but then again i did remember to get up and go to work today so i guess it's all good!!
  21. Danno: You summed it up in that last post, Brian Wilson is a musical genius and it is incredible he survived everything he has been through. This is definitely a movie worth seeing more than once.
  22. Danno: I hope you guys have a great show this year, I really hate to miss it!! Having moved to the central coast of California for work in December this year I increased my distance to Phoenix from 200 miles to 550 miles. Unfortunately work keeps me from making the trip, but there's always next year....
  23. The headers and pipes look fantastic, I'm going to definitely have to give that method a try. My question is where you got the paint stand?
