  1. Almost looks like an old gasser somebody resurrected to drive on the street. isn't that 'beer keg' a Moon tank? Besides it's built too good to be a rat rod. There's not enough rusty angle iron and sharp, pointy things sticking out.
  2. It just shows you that you never know what some people are capable of doing. Amazing.
  3. Shawn Carpenter does nice work. Here's the 55 GMC I built. He provided the grille, bumper, hood w/emblem,tailgate,dashboard,wheels/hubcaps,and photoetched fender emblems. Sadly,I don't have it anymore. Sold it on the bay.
  4. I've noticed on the show that the cars are always kind of dusty and dirty. My guess is to keep the lights from reflecting off of them.
  5. OK,I'll play.
  6. I've used Chrome Tech USA several times. He has even replaced a part that got broken somehow. It's not cheap, but it's really worth the finished look.
  7. How about heavier guitar strings? Go to a music store and look at a guitar. The larger ones have a winding on them. They might be a little harder to wrap around a winch though.
  8. I've only got 2 of these. I saw the part about 'pad prinred tires',and thought-OK,one more.. It could only be cooler if they had used the Wildkat boxart.
  9. I did some photoshopping to see what this would look like. I like it. What do you guys think?
  10. The Orange Blossom Special pulling truck AMT(?) And isn't the new reissue AMT 40 Ford Coupe available in orange?
  11. I would only have 2 at the most on the table at one time. And I have a good sized table. I'm working (? lol)on a 1/8th scale project at the moment,so there/s no room for anything else.
  12. Yes it goes together pretty esy,and looks good, but the driver would have to be a contourtionist to drive it. I know,it's only a model....
  13. Nice build! Did you have to paint the whitewalls? The original kit had tampo-printed whitewalls, but I heard the later versions didn't have them.
  14. I feel your pain. I've done that,too.
  15. Homer Simpson at the 'Try N Save' -"i'm going to smell the new tires". Done that. I would agree with the smells of a woodworking shop. Great scents.
  16. Wow,That's a great 'other hobby'. It's strange to think how they survived all these years.
  17. Of the car or the circuit board?
  18. If this doesn't belong on this forum.please delete. I just bought one of those huge 36 Ford R/c cars. If anyone knows where I can find a wiring diagram, please let me know. I found 2 wires that were broken off,and I don't really know where they go. It may become a big static model. Thanks!
  19. I'm in for the 66 Barracuda and the VW Thing. A 1/8th scale Thing would be great..
  20. Chevy can claim they built the first all-steel passenger car wagon. These Fords were still trucks.
  21. Nice build! That car is insane.
  22. I can't stop looking at it!
