Very nice car, Mario - though not a big fan of red Ferraris, this color is very fitting for the 328.

From the Hachette 1/24 Mexican series (made by Ixo): a no-nonsense, plain utility vehicle with almost no chrome. I ordered this one because I sold off my amt kits. Cab/hood is metal, whereas the pickup bed and rear fenders are plastic - all painted a very dark green. As I knocked off the rearview mirror bracket on the passenger side, I decided to give it a little "Snake-Fu" treatment: I added some round mylar chrome foil to both mirrors, a small piece of aluminium tube for the exhaust pipe and 1961 Wyoming plates cut from a very old auto world license plate sheet (could be a "Cowboy Cadillac"/c. Terry Jessee) - in my imagination, a typical vehicle for rural America back in the day. At last, I needed a load and cut a cardboard box from a Verlinden sheet I bought 30 years ago.

Sorry to read this - I have been missing his comments for a while but would not have thought that he had passed (he was even younger than me!). Checking his profile I found out that he had even posted on Feb. 22. My condolences to his family.

Just in from the postman (via ebay France) - 1955 Chevy 3100 PU from Hachette (1/24, Mexican series) - a plain, no fancy working truck.

Nice model , Mario as is your trademark - the car looks a bit like It's been souped up as a traffic light street racer back in the day - but the box art pic of the real one sits also a bit high and sports wider rear tires (cheater slicks?)

Nice build, Rich, of a seldom seen car from an era where Tyrrell's best years had been over long ago. -

Very nice Countachs - I especially like the orange LP400 - a color that is typical for Lamborghinis of that era. -
Well done, Mario - looks great in front of that old French store.

Rare model of an equally seldom seen subject, Gary - the car leaving the pits in the rain could be taken for real! -

1959scudetto replied to Rich Chernosky's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Cool racer, Rich ! Unusual with its front mid-engine configuration - I can't remember ever seeing one of these built ! (I had the Ford Motorsports version of this but sold it in the 90's.) -
1958 Buick and 1960 Mercury, Heading for NNL North.

Fantastic models, Steven - both are real show-stoppers! -
Excellent model of the MGB, Ryan - stance is just perfect for the "chrome models". Very nice color, too (exterior and interior) - these MGs don't have to be red or green all the time.

No, it is a Fujimi rebox - molded in white, with better decals.

Fugimi Lamborghini Countache 5000 qv: WIP
1959scudetto replied to David G.'s topic in WIP: Model Cars
David, you are almost at the finish line with this fabulous model ! I have the Enthusiast model LP400 but have not tackled it yet. Did the windshield pop out when you stretched the body over the chassis? It looks like you did install it afterwards. This would be my greatest nighmare, I remember building the Dino 246 GT almost 30 years ago and it was also not an easy task putting body and chassis together without breaking anything. -
Today in the mail (from 2 different ebay-sources): 4 sets of wheels from Jack modelling 2 each spoke wheels and 1 each Porsche 356 (for my Jimmy Flintstone 550 Spyder) and Campagnolo alloy wheels (for Fiat 131 and 124 Abarth): and another of those Revell 917 K's: for € 27,50 including shipping I could not let it pass:
