  1. Heck, until the mid- thirties, most cars were produced with sheet metal over wooden framing. Then the Airflow came along and changed the game.
  2. No, but you just caused my brain to lock up with that question . BTW, do vegetarians eat animal crackers?
  3. Sweet. I just got this kit the other day and want to do a parts chaser for my scale used car lot.
  4. Sweet, but those fins say '57...
  5. From what I recollect, the Mark II and the '56 Lincoln used the first of Ford's 'cowbelly' frame, so a stretched (and that would be a scale 9" stretch) '57 Ford or '58 Edsel (that would be my choice, as the frame is separate from the floorpan)frame would be about right.. Then just dummy up a '56 or '57 Y- block to look like the Lincoln mill.
  6. Well, I went to Dean's Saturday and left with... AMT Sunbeam Tiger Revell 427 Corvette AMT '67 Impala Street Machine Little Red Wagon Stealth Pace Car Regal GNX AMT '94 Mustang and a baged kit ($3.00) of a C5 corvette.
  7. Realy nice period look . Are those the scallops from the Revellogram '58 Thunderbird?
  8. She has a separate listing in the world atlas. She was responsible for a solar eclipse. ESPN dressed her in a helium- filled silver suit and floated her over a football stadium.
  9. Great work.
  10. The '58 Squarebird had the 430 as an option...
  11. Under the heading of "A Rose By Any Other Name", at least they got rid of that Sebring hood (imagine trying to keep that mess clean) and the deep side sculpturing. My stepdad is a retired Chrysler engineer and they currently have one of those Calibers (it looks like a metallic blue armadillo) and if Chrysler hasn't stepped up their quality control since then, the 200 will be something else for me to avoid when they start showing up as cheap used cars in a few years. I wish them luck.
  12. Well, photography, playing the guitar, writing songs (latest ones- Nature Abhors A Vacuum and Do Me In My Straitjacket), GT4 (and GT5 will be out in a few weeks (yeah!!!), The Good Guys and Fringe, Nascar and Formula 1, reading and of course, my college studies (I'm actually less stupid now than a few years ago, so apparently its working )
  13. How about the mod motor from one of the newer Mustangs?
  14. The Lindberg (nee Pyro) '48 Continental. It's funny that they'd name the company Pyro, because I'm sure that was the fate of most of these nightmares.
  15. Other Models, eh? So where's the swimsuit models?
  16. Sweet job. Did you swap in the grille from the Coronet RT?
  17. Pull the pin and let's go...
  18. Even though the cowl was flattened out for '64, you might be able to use the frame from the '64. If you're going that route, use the Plymouth- that way you can also use the chassis and engine compartment. Good luck.
  19. There's a body shop and an upholstery shop across the street from my house.
  20. All I can say is Bill Geary is a talented builder, and I enjoy watching his slow builds.
  21. The '99 F- 150 is darn near identical to the '97, and almost every permutation has been kitted. Revell had the Lightning, an extended cab flareside, a standard cab and long box and the Harley- Davidson F-150 (with a Sportster and trailer). Lindberg did a really nice standard cab flareside 4x4, and AMT did a snpper of the extended cab short styleside box and a glue kit with the standard cab short styleside box. I've done just about every possible box, cab, suspension and drivetrain swap you can do on these things.
  22. My '84 Continental sedan had the trip computer, and you could display constant MPG. On the freeway at 70- 75, I was getting 24 mpg. However, when I'd crest the Zilwaukee Bridge, coasting downhill would give me 193 mpg. 193 mpg in a Lincoln- whoda thunk it?
  23. I want to do Dan Stark's grey Trans Am from The Good Guys. That show is just too funny .
  24. That Vipa begs the question- does the world really need a self- propelled porta- potty?
  25. 2005 Impala 1969 Thunderbird 1967 442 1965 Lincoln 1965 Buick
