  1. Model Cars Scale Auto Collectible Automobile Rodder's Journal Car and Driver AutomobileCar and Ammo (for the drive- by shooting enthusiast. I also have the CA book Designing America's Cars- the Fifties. Its a great source for custom ideas.
  2. The Fox Thunderbirds from '83- '88 shared fenders, hoods and door panels. However, after their makeover for '87, the doors, fenders and hoods, while shared, are different from the '83- '86 models.
  3. Willys Aero- Kaiser shifted production of this car to Brazil in the late 50's. Kaiser Manhattan- shifted to Argentina and became the Kaiser Cabellero. The Jeepster was a whole different animal when reintroduced in the 60's. It shares no body panels with the original. Willys, then Kaiser, then AMC then Chrysler Jeep Wagoneer. Cord 810- 812 became the Graham Hollywood and Hupp Skylark with a shorter front end, and a rear drive chassis). The Avanti II was different from the Sudebaker Avanti from '63- '64. Most notably, the front fenders were raised, eliminating the pronounced rake of the original. It also used Chevy engines.
  4. Can't wait to see this one.
  5. That is one sweet disco boat .
  6. I bet it would be tough for the pallbearers to get the coffin in that one ("heave ho, boys!").
  7. Can't wait to see the end result, doctor .
  8. Ah, the '58 Poncho- one of my all time faves- and here you went and made it really pretty .
  9. Those are some really great builds, Michelle. I can't wait to see the Daytona foiled and polished, and the Riviera is sweet .
  10. Wow, oh wow, oh wow. Absolutely gorgeous work, especially the paint and interior. Just watch those tail lights when you parallel park .
  11. All that clutter. Mark, did you steal my workbench?
  12. And yet another bizarro world special . Great work, Chuck.
  13. The front looks awkward and clunky. As for the CHMSL, I think its a viable solution. It would especially work if the car was red.
  14. Hmmm- ugly cars. Cadillac CTS and stx (or whatever that hideous crossover is called), Ford Edge, Hyundai Sonata, Pontiac Vibe, '58 Olds, '58 Buick, '58 Ford (I see a pattern), almost any American car built between '73- '83 (except the Matador Coupe and the Corvette).
  15. I thought that was your hearse .
  16. I'm hijacking this thread to the worker's paradise of Cuba, you slimey capitalist pigs. I demand 2 million dollars and a parachute!
  17. Looking good. I really like the work you did on the chassis. Can't wait to see it done.
  18. "Ladeesh and Gentle Ben, we're making our twelf shtep approash into Harry's back yard *hic*." (sorry. I made up this line for a previous post, but this seemes appropriate.)
  19. Lookin' good. Love those Javelins.
  20. Yup. Nothing says world unity and peace like a soccer riot .
  21. Maybe simpler from the standpoint of being kids, but the real world was just as complicated back then. And everything was cheaper, from a relative standpoint. Adjust for inflation, and that $1.39 AMT kit would equal out to almost $15 bucks today.
  22. Man, this sounds worse than Flint. Since you're not allowed to have handguns across the pond, get a baseball bat and a dog.
  23. It doesn't. It does, however, have separate spindles and control arms. I just attacked everything with a #62 drill bit and some straight pins.
  24. Beautiful work on your Ford. One question, though- are those taillights or is your car just happy to see us ?
  25. Here's some pics I found on the Car Craft site. The pump appears to be mounted to the timing chain cover on the passenger side. I did a search for just 'fuel pumps, but couldn't find anything without slogging through page after page of drivel. Hope this helps.
