  1. I like to use liquidized styrene for filler. Throw some scrap bits in a spar jar, pour in liquid cement and in a few minutes it turns into a paste. I apply it with an old paint brush. Once it sets up it can be sanded and shaped. Would be a good option for the backside of your wheel openings.
  2. Maybe this on the turntable?
  3. Got the tail down and it sits level now - more better!
  4. An excellent build by Mr. De Potter. I have two of his Escort MkI twin cam engines - they are very nice.
  5. I think this unfinished project might qualify.
  6. Very nice Pat.
  7. First mock-up, needs a little tweaking but a good start.
  8. Thanks Bruce. The spoke and web reinforcement is more accurate on the Scale Production wheel and that is more important to me.
  9. Thanks Ray. I'm working on getting the Scale Production wheels installed, they come with no means of attachment.
  10. Turned out great. Large diameter (20" and up) wheels look good on full size cars but not a fan of them on mid-size or compacts.
  11. Always enjoy your builds Dax.
  12. Turned out great Dan, glad you decided to build it.
  13. I have been debating with myself for days about my wheel choice. I know I don't want to use the kit Cromodora wheels (far left) that come in the kit. There is an aftermarket version of this wheel that is much nicer but everyone uses this wheel on their 131 build. The middle set is my attempt to recreate the Campagnolo, my favorite wheel used on the 131. I modified Fujimi's Hayashi Street wheel to create these. Far right is Scale Production's Campagnolo wheel. The spoke and reinforcing web are accurate for the 131 and very nice. However the hub isn't concave and it's 5-lug. Regardless it is the wheel I have settled on.
  14. No they ran McPherson struts front and rear. Here is a link to get you genned up Shay! http://tech-racingcars.wikidot.com/fiat-131-abarth
  15. Its a '57.
  16. Looks like there are 5 wires each side, one each for the 4 cylinders on each side of the V8 and 1 coil wire.

    Super Modified

Those Halibrand wheels look good on there, nice work!
  18. Coming along David.
  19. Nice looking build Scott, would like to see a few more pictures of it.
  20. Made a simple water pump and drilled a hole in the fuel pump bracket to "add lightness" as Colin Chapman famously said.
  21. Glad you got it sorted out Gary. We need to see more of your great projects on here.
