  1. A sailor couldn't be afraid of heights in those days.
  2. I bend the rod with my fingers or round needle nose pliers. When I am happy with the shape I heat the bend over a candle to set the shape. I use a drilled jig made from solid square rod with the correct exhaust port spacing while I am building the headers to keep from possibly damaging the drilled cylinder heads. I dissolve bits of styrene in liquid cement and use it like putty to form the collectors.
  3. Impressive Michael.
  4. I build my headers from styrene rod in lieu of solder and work from the cylinder head out. I like to drill the head to accept the exhaust header.
  5. Some great mods here Bruce.
  6. Coming along Eric.
  7. Don't believe I've ever seen this box art before - very cool.
  8. Replica & Miniatures offers the Blue Beetle wheels/tires in resin, not sure about the Orange Hauler set.
  9. Like to forward rake better as well. Stance is of paramount importance IMHO to the overall build.
  10. Revell '50 Ford Pickup - it was my last birthday gift from her before she passed. She helped me build my first model.
  11. Early Iron Series version.
  12. Nice group of Prancing Horses.
  13. Just completed a nice trade with Steamboat , nice trading with you Bill.
  14. Was reading in this book last night that tall Hillborn injectors stacks signified the car was running an automatic transmission. The book didn't explain why - anyone have any insight?
  15. Turned out great Art.
  16. Fotki (which I use) was actively perusing PB user to transfer to their service . Maybe they have tools or offer assistance to help transfer all your data?
  17. Nice work. Are you making it right hand drive?
  18. Look at my posts on the forum and there is no doubt I'm a builder not a kit collector looking to make a profit. However we all have kits in our collection for whatever reason we would like to pass on. Would rather to sell to a forum member than some faceless person on ebay. As for trades I've completed many successfully here on the forum but sometimes get the responses; I am interested in such and such kit but don’t have anything you’re looking for. If you could include an asking price along with your trade requests more people would be able to participate. And no I am not suggesting we turn the forum into an auction site and have us bidding against each other. If you have something to sell you post it along with the asking price, if someone wants to make the purchase they contact you through PM just like trades. As for profiteering how can that happen when the seller determines the price?
  19. I have no authority to make changes, merely asking the question and taking the pulse of the members.
  20. Trading is a greater risk as you have no mechanism to resolve disputes. I know I've gotten burned before. If you use a buying service you do have a mechanism if a deal goes wrong.
  21. Paypal includes dispute resolution with it's service. This would be the mechanism to resolve issues between parties. Forum Admins would not need to be involved.
  22. Trading is already allowed between forum members, don't see why selling between members would be any different.
  23. As I understand it selling was not permitted because of the presence of the eModelCars website. Since that website is long gone would you like to see selling permitted now?
