  1. Welcome Nathan. Look forward to seeing some of your builds.
  2. After a bit more work I'm happy with the overall shape and the fit.
  3. Yea it is fuel injection but it is delivering fuel via a rail system that is why I chose that picture. I would bring a line out the side of the rail for the first carb and another out the end for the second carb. Depending on how detailed you wanted to get you could add return lines.
  4. The most successful Dragonsnake of all time! Have you tried the Revell hardtop on the AMT body? What do you plan to do for decals?
  5. Len, here are some photos of the different hardtop styles I have found. The Viking Blue car is a Shelby factory Dragonsnake (the first one built as a matter of fact). The Costilow & Larsen car was a factory delivered Dragonsnake to a private owner. You will notice how much more round the factory hardtop is. From what I have seen of the Revell kit hardtop it is more square like the independent comp. car.
  6. Not sure I understand your question about the fuel line plumbing Joe. It should be a loop with a supply and return line with a pump (either mechanical or electrical) in there some where. Here is a simple fuel system diagram.
  7. Those decals would be perfect for an old worn down custom (with faded graphics) if you want to take the build in that direction.
  8. Yes you certainly are going in another direction will your hardtop conversion Ray. I'll be watching.
  9. Crazy color scheme but I think I like it.
  10. I did make the dolly and I did a tutorial on it. Here is the link.
  11. I don't have the 427 "Baldwin Motion" kit so I can't compare them Len but my research tells me there are a few different style hardtops. The hardtop in the Revell kit was used primarily on the 427 Cobras as best as I can tell. I want to build a 289 Dragonsnake and I thought the Corvette top was a good starting point for one of the styles used on the small block cars.
  12. Haven't worked on it in awhile Maxx but I will finish it.
  13. Thanks guys. The body is a Trophy Series kit. The plastic has darkened with age.
  14. Started with the hardtop from AMT's '55 Corvette. Still work to do on the top but a promising start.
  15. Nice to see a Bathurst build here. I'll be watching.
  16. Taking a shot at creating the Dragonsnake version of the hard top. Starting with the hardtop from AMT's '55 Corvette. I'll create a new thread for the project.
  17. Nice restoration Joe.
  18. HRM has started casting the '68 Shelby. Here are photos from our model club meeting today. He has a bit of work to do on the up-top which is not pictured here and then the kit will be complete. It is intended to be a trans-kit with AMT's '67 Shelby (yes the '67 not the '68) providing the remaining parts.
  19. Engine looks sharp.
  20. Nice work.
  21. Awesome! Thanks for posting this. Can't wait to see this thing on a race track.
  22. Final pictures before I race car it up with all the sponsor decals. That's my pet fly on the roof - such a ham.
