  1. Nice work Michael.
  2. Great trade with ToyLvr. Thanks for working with me Mike.
  3. Those are some wild engine color choices there Miles. Can't wait to see what the rest of the car will look like.
  4. Love seeing rally cars on here. Nice.
  5. Flashlight and holster. This will be installed in the Co-Driver's foot well on the kick panel.
  6. The helmets get painted red and the headphone ear cups yellow so that should make them stand out in the all back interior.
  7. Yea, painting this beauty would just be wrong. Outstanding work Randy.
  8. I'm not sure how the headphones were stowed. I have (1) picture in my collection with the headphones hanging from the roll hoop and (1) picture with them hooked around the kicker bar. As much as I like the look of them hanging from the roll hoop I think the other option was a more standard setup. Roll hoop: Kicker:
  9. I've always liked he GT90. Nice job.
  10. JC...it's a Teac from '73 I have an Akai I bought a few years ago and had restored. Lot'sa fun and sounds great too.
  11. Mine was big and yellow and carried about 30 of my friends, even had a chauffeur.
  12. Thanks Shay. According to Robson's books Boreham revved the engines up to 9000 rpm. Pretty hard to scream pace notes over that. Thanks Darren.
  13. I was able to confirm the Works team did use intercoms in the cars. At least they did in '78 and '79. The headphones come from the Tamiya Rally Driver set and I fabricated microphones for the helmets I modified earlier.
  14. Paul, the wheel set is up on Fireball's website. http://www.fireballmodels.info/ Nice R-to-R deck in the background.
  15. They might fit on a BMW Mini but I am not sure you could squeeze them under a BMC Mini.
  16. My friend Shay pointed out that the kit side mirrors are too tall. In addition I noticed they are flat as ping pong paddles. So I glued a piece of .030 sheet on the back. Using files and sand paper I shaped the mirror back to better represent the 1:1. After cutting down the arm I drilled it and the mirror and add a .020 brass rod pin to reconnect them. Finally I mounted the mirror with a more realistic angle in relation to the arm. That's a lot of babble and a lot of pictures for a silly little mirror but small details like this can add up to improve a build.

  19. Cool project Paul. My kids & I love these movies. We'll be watching.
  20. I enjoy your builds Charles even if I don't know the subject. Nice work.
  21. I know nothing about heavy equipment but I do know a thing or two about model building and this is a great project. Nice work so far Dennis.
