  1. Sometimes it better to take a break than try to push just to get it done and end up unhappy with the results. Chin up.
  2. Porsche offered a color close to Grabber Blue so it may have been a stock color. From what I have read Porsche was willing to paint the cars any custom color you wanted as long as you were willing to pay for it. Thanks Bill.
  3. Here you go. Would I love to have one-you betcha! But it is not a '66 Mustang. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxXhU-52MaQ#t=56
  4. I'm really enjoying this build Art. I like the color choices.
  5. JB, the wheels were not permanently installed in the photo above. I used that photo because no decals are included in the trans-kit. On my finished build the rear is down a bit more. I think the absence of a rear valance gives the illusion that the rear is higher than it actually is. If you want it even lower you should be able to trim the top of the front struts and rear shocks. Beware though I used as wide as tires possible in the trans-kit. There isn't much room left inside the fender wells.
  6. Unfortunately I don't remember Gene. Here is a link to the North American Studio27 dealers. This is what the set looks like.
  7. I assume that would be me Bill and the trans- kit is now available from Historic Racing Miniatures. This is what the kit looks like built-up.
  8. And not sticking to itself before you want it to but I like the look of the fabric.
  9. My guess is its this kit. RS-19.
  10. Thanks Tommy. How is you Carrera RS coming?
  11. Nice work Christian. Love seeing touring cars on this forum.
  12. Gene, it is adhesive backed woven fabric that is included in Studio27's seat belt set. A challenge to work with!
  13. Gettin' there Joe. One of my least favorite tasks is making seat belt harnesses. So I'm glad to have these sets behind me.
  14. When possible I like to mount the chassis during final assembly without having to use glue. Here I have glued .080 angle inside the body and a cleat on the back of the door panels. I spread the body and the cleats snap in on top of the angle holding the chassis firmly in the body.
  15. I like the 289 from Revell's '66 Shelby Mustang. Its 1/24 scale but with a bit of work it fits in nicely to AMT's 1/25 scale Shelby Cobra. The 427 in Revell's Owens Corning Corvette is nice too.
  16. Work continuing on the interior. The door panels are too short in the kit. I split them at the top of the door cards and added some .030 strip (almost 1 scale inch). Created an opening in the rear seat panel for the oil lines to pass through into the trunk mounted oil tank. Decided to go with the resin steering wheel in the Reji kit as it is more accurate. Modified the hand brake and the fire extinguishers.
  17. Turned out great Joe, nice job.
  18. I don't have a great camera. I use a several years old 10MP Nikon. I setup a quick background on my work bench using a piece of white poster board leaning against a cardboard box. After I take the picture I crop it. This makes the object in the image much larger. Here is an example of an image before and after cropping. You might also want to start using a photo sharing website to host your pictures. This will allow you to post much larger photos on the forum. Make sure you object is well lit so you can avoid using a flash.
  19. I think the stance looks good Shay.
  20. Very creative.
  21. I bought some magnetic knife strips from Ikea and also use peg board racks.
  22. I highly recommend HRM's FIA engine. This is what it looks like built-up.
  23. MFH produced the 312PB in 1/24 scale. It's painfully expensive but from the built versions I have seen it is a beautiful kit.
