I'm not sure how the headphones were stowed. I have (1) picture in my collection with the headphones hanging from the roll hoop and (1) picture with them hooked around the kicker bar. As much as I like the look of them hanging from the roll hoop I think the other option was a more standard setup. Roll hoop: Kicker:

Thanks Shay. According to Robson's books Boreham revved the engines up to 9000 rpm. Pretty hard to scream pace notes over that. Thanks Darren.

I was able to confirm the Works team did use intercoms in the cars. At least they did in '78 and '79. The headphones come from the Tamiya Rally Driver set and I fabricated microphones for the helmets I modified earlier.

They might fit on a BMW Mini but I am not sure you could squeeze them under a BMC Mini.

My friend Shay pointed out that the kit side mirrors are too tall. In addition I noticed they are flat as ping pong paddles. So I glued a piece of .030 sheet on the back. Using files and sand paper I shaped the mirror back to better represent the 1:1. After cutting down the arm I drilled it and the mirror and add a .020 brass rod pin to reconnect them. Finally I mounted the mirror with a more realistic angle in relation to the arm. That's a lot of babble and a lot of pictures for a silly little mirror but small details like this can add up to improve a build.
