  1. Fabricated helmet boxes. The helmets come from the Tamiya set. I back dated them for a 70's style helmet.
  2. No, not yet. He is still has work to do create the parts and details before he can then start casting the kits. But it is coming along.
  3. From Ford's Escort Rally Prep Manual:

    IMC Ford J car

    Turned out nice Rex.
  5. Thanks for the info guys. I am interested in acquiring this complete engine if anyone has one they want to trade.
  6. What engine is included in this kit? Is it the Ford Pinto engine?
  7. Great start Andy. What size do the wheels scale out to be?
  8. Here is a picture of the final version of the front wheels. Fireball Modelworks has done a great job on these.
  9. Not likely Gene. I am working on helmet boxes and a pair of helmets however.
  10. So on the current episode of Gas Monkey Garage they are resto-modding a '71 Challenger R/T. Not a trashed out bring it back to life car but a fully restored mint '71 Challenger - thoughts?
  11. Thanks Joe. I agree that modeling figures is a whole new discipline that I have zero experience with so I am not going to try and learn it with this build.
  12. I'm learning a lot about Model T's from your build Art - thanks. Had to Google the exhaust whistle.
  13. Thanks Darren. Sounds like you owned some cool cars. It's comforting to know someone with 1:1 experience approves of my modifications.
  14. Thanks Gene. No driver figures but I might add helmets and intercom headphones. I need to confirm the headphones were in use in '79. Thanks MIke.
  15. Excellent work Cameron. The engine detail is exceptional.
  16. A few things to note in this picture. The jack and brackets. The jack comes from a Fujimi Porsche 356 and has been modified to resemble the work's team jack. The oil line brackets attached the the drive shaft tunnel. The oil and fuel lines where ran through the cabin to protect them from damage. The removable panel on the transmission tunnel. The work's team created this removable panel to provide quick and easy access to the gear box for service or removal. The fireproof panel for the rear bulkhead
  17. Nice work Tim. The diagonal bar mounted to the rear axle is called a Panhard bar. It keeps the axle from moving side-to-side. The lose end should mount to a bracket on the chassis. If you don't want to fabricate a bracket it might look better if you just removed this bar as it wouldn't really be necessary on a street vehicle. Cool build.
  18. The Chevette was raced/rallied across the pond back in the day.
  19. The old photo in Rex's pictures are of Brad's car back in the day. And if they were any doubt about the quality of the kit HRM will turnout the fact he want's replicate "his" car should put any fears to rest.
  20. Always nice to see F1 cars built here. I'll be watching.
  21. Very nice Steve.
  22. I guess I am showing my lack of knowledge of Model T's I am a bit surprised by your choice to clear coat the paint. Are you going for a high gloss finish after you polish?
