nice work..... crazy fenders..... I have been toying with the idea of getting one..... I am still not sure, but you did a great job on it.

Somebody really likes you! Have fun with it. All I ask is that you do this kit justice.

If you did indeed Wreak it, you made a wonderful save of it. Very nice.

Nice and clean, looks great.

Looks great..... now. I which I had a nickle for every time one of my clear coat applications when bad for me like yours did. It happens all to many times. You would think we (I) have learned to go very easy on the first coats of clear. Love the color choice, looks really good.

Very nice, I have a different version of the same car to be built one of these days..... I hope mine turns out as nice as yours. Very well done.

Here is the engine for this car, the flat 12 Ferrari. I completely changed the intake with trumpets as a throw back to the 1960 style fuel injection. Also the wheels and tires as they will be on this car. The interior tub is from the Ferrari Mythos, where the engine was lifted from. The color will have carbon fiber removable top and roof bar components and some kind of primary red color on the body.

The nose, I agree, is "out there", but that was the point, I was attempting to make it very Shark like, so I exaggerated the design knowing that this is more of a design concept and not really a vehicle that would actually hit the road. It is more whimsical and less actual. I find this is the most rewarding part of modeling for me. Sure, I can build a kit, add engine details, bare metal foil and smooth shinny paint, but I like the idea of going where others haven't gone before. Not what "is", but more like what "could be" but still keeping it "real". The "Son of Shark Attack" on the workbench tab, is from the same basic design buck, but much more conventional with a more practical front end design.

Very nice, both of them....... I am willing to bet that the 1969 Camaro is the most "posted" kit on this site. Your two builds look good together, reminds me of the late 60's and all of the affordable wonderful personal sport coupes we had to choose from...... decisions, decisions.

Built from the same, but completely modified buck as Shark Attack. New, more conventional front end treatment, an open top targa and a roadster flat rear deck over the engine. This has a Ferrari flat 12 taken from the Ferrari Mythos. You can see by all of the putty along the various body part lines, this is made from multiple panels, some molded and some hand formed. This has a long way to go, but I am pretty happy with the progress so far.

Very nice, the color is very appropriate for this Mopar. Only thing I see that could use a small change is in the door handles...... maybe a little bare metal foil, other than that, very nice.

Very nice, the color works very well on this car. well done.

very nice, hard to tell it is only 1/32 and not 1/24. well done.

Very interesting story on the build..... no way would I attempt something like that, so yeah, don't change a thing on it. I love the fact that it is a rare Race Car that you only see in classic racing magazines and websites. I will have to be on the lookout for a kit of that car. Nice job.

Really sharp colors on a well built drag car. Nicely done.

Really well done. Great paint, details and a super clean interior. The colors work really well too. Very, very nice stock build.

I always liked the "49" concept too.... great job, looks awesome. -
Very nice, I like to see race cars that never were, but could have been. Well done.

Beautiful..... one of my favorite cars from the early 60's. Nicely done.

Very nice and unusual. The chop turned out very well, subtle and very convincing.

Beautiful clean build....... love the color choice. I built that kit many, many years ago, did mine in yellow, but honestly, I like your dark blue more. Nice work.

Yes Ismael, the Mako Shark Corvette was exactly what I was thinking about with the paint on this one. I wanted to make a convertible version of this car so I have modified the buck. But when I started changing it, I completely changed the front end to make it more conventional looking. So this will be a slightly different roadster version with a targa roof that lifts off and a rear deck that opens to reveal the engine. Right now it looks a little like a pickup truck, but the side wings behind the door openings will be extended to give it a little more flowing look to the roof.

Thanks Chris, as for the door props, I actually wanted to make a more complicated prop, but in the end, opted for a simple design. The prop is fashioned in an "L" shape and the short end is fit into a hole in the firewall. When the door is opened, I swing the prop up to be positioned to hold the weight of the door open, when closed, the prop is swung down and rests behind the seat. I use a pair of tweezers to grab the prop and swing it up to hold the door when it is opened. I have also made a number of working props with the brass rod inserted into the aluminum tube and attached to the door and body on either end. I am just finishing up a set of these props for the Tamiya SL300 Gull Wing I am almost finished with.
