  1. Wow, great looking build, I love the extra detail you added to the chassis, it is a shame that it really isn't visible once assembled, but like you said, you know, and now we know, it is under there. I have been also working on a Ford GT, the difference is I am doing mine as a newer 2019 Daytona version. Number 67 is the Castrol "throwback" livery. The decals are from Studio 27, and are a pleasure to apply. Not to invade your post, but here is the body with about 90% of the decals applied. The only reall changes I did to the body are all the molded on screens have been cut out and replaced with scale screens, I figured since they are viable they needed to be corrected, The body, once decaled completely needs a minor clean up and it can mate to the chassis, and yes, there are a few issues with the mating of the two main components, but it will go together with a little friendly persuasion.
  2. You are off to a great start.... the shocks look very real, too bad they will be hidden once the build is complete, but since you will apply the same level of care and precision to the entire build, I know it will look great. I will be following this for sure. Later.
  3. Very nice.... I really like the addition of the Chrysler grill to the front of the Ford..... well done.
  4. Really, really well done. Chrysler was beginning its slide almost into oblivion at this point trying to capture the youth market with flower power vinyl tops and crazy graphics and you captured the look perfectly. Very well done.... also, love the hubcaps.
  5. Love it..... very colorful livery and very clean.... I have, and have built, a number of these cars and they are difficult to get looking this good.
  6. Well, cutting the doors free was not that difficult as the doors have fairly straight sides with no tricky curved angles to deal with, but, because there is such a large opening and only a very thin strip of plastic on the bottom edge holding the car together, I needed to permanently mount the interior tub, after the inside part of the door was cut free, to the body to give the car the necessary rigidity it needed. It still had more flex than I was comfortable with and I spent many nights working to get all the doors to line up properly, but in the end, once the center pieces where the doors met were in place things all kind fell together. Not overly difficult, but not a project to attempt opening doors for the first time either. But, hey, it is only plastic and can be replaced easy enough. Don't let it intimidate you too much . Chop away.
  7. Re-Issue of the 1965 kit. Lowered, engine detailed and doors opened Two-tone of custom mixed 1966 Ford Mustang Emberglow Poly on top and black on sides. Custom mix Interior color with Leopard skin decals on the seating area and doors.
  8. AMT Re-Issue of the annual 1962 Buick, Vacuum-formed top and a resin Engine and a photo-etch grill.
  9. Talk about different, very, very well done. A subject I never would have thought of. A true stand out build.
  10. color and execution are perfect, super job, very, very clean.
  11. all very nice..... nice variety of cars and color choices.
  12. Nice and simple and very clean...... I have done 2 of these snap Ford GT kits, ( one in Gulf Oil colors and one white with Martini stripes ) and yes, they do look very nice for a snapper. I am looking forward to building the Revell Le Mans version when it finally gets to me and also the street version from Tamiya like you. P.S., for the mirrors try this, fill in the "hole" with plastic or even putty and then cut some bare metal foil for the mirror. I do it all the time.
  13. Love the green, nice job.
  14. Very nice...... colors and gunmetal trim work well together. Wheels and stance look perfect on the build. Nice work....... better than a stock build without being over the top.
  15. great save...... I always thought that the 1962 Ford and Chevy were classic designs........ not too big, not too small and clean.... no wings, no fins and minimum chrome that is well placed..... well done.
  16. It is impossible not to find this Hot Rod as a perfectly executed and extremely clean example of a period correct build. Very impressive yet simple and well thought out. Smooth.
  17. Beautiful build.... the color is spot on. looks about as close to real as you will get. NICE!
  18. try this link. http://www.slotfabrik.com/product_info.php?info=p797_decal-bmw-m6---gt3---cota-2017-----25-team-rll.html
  19. Very well done. super clean and "tight"..... great paint. The masking is superb. I have this kit but haven't even thought about building it yet......... one of these days. I find that far too many F1 kits have "cowl fit" issues..... it is a shame and can seriously hurt an otherwise super build. Nice job.
  20. Super clean and well done. Very nice.
  21. all great builds, but I really like the Firebird and '62 Impala....... the paint looks so well done on these. Very nice.
  22. I never would have guessed you were from Great Britain from looking at the photos...... not. Nice mix of vehicles.... I like the double deck bus, but you only pointed out the Tamiya Vespa in the photo. All very well done. Funny how there is such a diverse mix of builds on the forum, yet they all find a home here. Again, very well done.
  23. You did a great job saving that model..... the charcoal works so well on it. I am in the process of build a Continental convertible, but I have the luxury of starting with a new kit in the box. Great save of a former disaster.
  24. You defiantly have a thing for Porsche's.... nice mix. You can't go wrong with any model Porsche. Well done.
