Dusting off an old thread here as I have a question for the group. I'd like to put a hardtop on my Jeepster and see, or saw, Olson Brothers Resin Cast Model Parts put out a really nice one. Are these gentlemen still in business?
I went on their website and they have some really intersting colors. What did you have to do to prep the body before you strayed this? What primer did you use and did you spray a clear over the top?
Coming to this one late. Thomas you did and amazing job of turning a sow's ear into a silk purse. This is a real pig of a kit. I've been slogging on my own '67 Goat for several years. I work on it till I get frustrated then it goes back in the box for another extended period of time.
And that blue finish is simply gorgeous.
I know this is a 2 1/2 year old thread but I just stumbled across this build and had to congratulate Thomas on a stunning build. I love the Javelin AMX and you hit it out of the park sir. I have this kit in the stash and really would love to be able to obtain the same level of finish that you got. Like others have said, I thought I was looking at the 1:1 car at first. Bravo!
That just looks fantastic. And you nailed the red line hotwheels vibe. Being a big collector of these when they came out, I'd have grabbed this one up immediately. Great job sir!
What an epic build! Congrats for staying with it to the end. I know many of us loose interest to see something of this magnitude through to the end but you hung in there. Way to go! It's definitely an award winner at whatever contest you enter it in. Peoples choice!!!
