  1. I would rather have the option to replicate many visions than be regulated one.
  2. Very nice. I have one in mid build and would agree with your criticisms and add trimming the excess plastic around the wipers as a doable but more realistic look. I wish the new one was as detailed and had the parts count of this one. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Thanks for the heads up. I'm still looking for the 29 Ford which has been sold out but I was told they restock on Fridays. And 50% off is better than 40%.
  4. I missed it also-to cool.
  5. Oh I like that!
  6. I like it and would be proud to display it myself.
  7. Jeff is right, just dive in. Successful people admit to having many more failures than successes. It is a hobby and welcome back to it.
  8. Cool story Tom. The Poison Pinto looks interesting. I know the Vega's are fairly simple ( but fun none the less) and I am guessing the Pinto is similar but would be interested in first hand knowledge of this kit. Any info is appreciated and thanks in advance.
  9. I love it. The Super Bee is one of my dream cars and an avatar I have used and someday hope to replicate.
  10. Too cool. Could I take it for a spin? Looks like fun.
  11. Very nice.
  12. Paul, your situation with health and well being sounds very similar to alot of people on this forum, myself included. Best wishes and stay positive. More bench time?
  13. I am missing the ability to go to the last unread post in any topic. I hope this feature will be available when things get sorted out.
  14. No, no and more no. The remakes are wrong and the vehicles, let's don't even go there. They are simultaneously destroying two masterpieces of what where the 80s. Understand I am not calling the movies themselves masterpieces but they are a classics of their time. I have yet to see a successful movie be remade better .
  15. That is looking pretty sweet. I can relate to the cheesy thing as that is was I was thinking of the pod racer until I built one. Thanks for sharing.
  16. It is a shame that the dedication and skill of this hobby are not appreciated by the masses. The costs of a hobby is only truly relevant if you can't afford to even be involved. I'm guessing most if not all of us here are involved at some level and have spent a different % of our time and incomes to get the same satisfaction. But in the end, it matters nothing. Let's just enjoy the ride and awesome builds and forget the cost and where our builds will end up. This is just my opinion, I don't mind hearing others.
  17. I was very impressed with your Janis Joplin Porche paint job but now add your scratch building skills. You sir have talent and I thank you for sharing them.
  18. Mine is very box stock, in fact it's still in the box so no pictures. I will say I only bought it because of the builds that you guys have shared-so thanks?
  19. That's pretty cool Pat. What grit of sandpaper did you use? I can see many possible uses for this look. Thanks for sharing.
  20. This created some interesting responses to my my post but no on the HOA,s. This was about codes and inspectors in the housing industry turning down something built to code and approved blueprints and then saying how it should be done (opposite of said plans and codes and approved engineering ). This is the classic example of the turtle on the post.
  21. Congrats. You should be excited, the best to you and your family.
  22. A 58. I find questionnaires like this interesting but they can be very vague and answer driven. Not to say this was, but sometimes (D- none of the above) is the correct but unavailable answer. We are a creative bunch none the less, at least when the mood strikes. Sigh-come on mood.
  23. My irk is people put into a minor position of power who in turn can interpret and inflict rules which cause much financial and emotional burden without recourse.
