On to the interior. The glass was one piece. I painted the "headliner" and posts interior color. I had to paint portions of the inside of the body shell to match the interior.

I have a number of models that I bulit before joining this forum. I had taken WIP pictures for another board. I thought I would go ahead and share them here. So to be clear, this model is complete but I thought maybe someone would like to see these WIP pics. I will add more pics every few days. I will then post the finished product in the Under Glass section. Here is the kit. I drilled out every single hole on all four rotors and painted. The chassis had a lot of the detail molded in. Here it is with no detailing. Beginning to detail paint. A little more. And a little bit more. (I just noticed I have some incorrectly mounted tires.)

Thanks for the help Jeff and Joshua. The Lotus I am doing is from 1978 and driven by Mario. I believe the car you posted pictures of is a 1979 (?) I don't know that the belts would be any different. I should just go with the PE buckles but there is just something about them that I do not like. They just look too darn big. I am going to compare my PE set with some that one of my modeling buddies has and make the decision then.

Thank you for the help Jeff and Dale, I appreciate it. I pulled out my calipers and measured the I.D. of the buckles. It comes out to just over 3 scale inches. I have three books on this car and I don't think the shoulder belts are 3 inches. If I had to guess, based off the books, the shoulder belts are 2 inches and the lap belts may be 3 inches. Any ideas? I looked at Willans web site and you can get both sizes. I just don't know what they ran back in 1978......sigh. I'm still open to suggestions, links, photos, etc. that might help solve this mystery .

Thanks for all of the comments guys. I think the pictures hide a multitude of sins. Notice there are no straight on shots...lol. That is a very nice post Bill. I was fortunate enough to meet Peter at NNL East two years ago, (I believe). I knew his models from this board. I found him beside them and struck up a conversation. What a nice guy! He was actually going to give me something, at no charge, but I had to decline as I knew I would never use it. How nice was that?!?! I am thankful we have folks like Peter and soooo many others here who will take the time to log in, put their thoughts, ideas, suggestions, etc on-line. They take time to take pictures, load them up and then share them here. Wow, that is just a great thing. I am glad Peter took the time to do what he did. Hopefully someone read his post and will use his tips on their next build! Yes Jeff, I thought we had you this year. Maybe next year buddy!
