Possible new Galaxie Release
Luc Janssens replied to Qwit Pushin's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If every member here, agrees on just "one" automobile, and transfers a C-note to Mr. Schmidt, I'm sure we will have a brand new kit by 2013. ;^) -

Hmm....when using a code and.....,asking some "basic info" one could obtain, useful info! -
Hello all, I’ve been following David Thibodeau’s tread, on building the new Revell 1/12 scale Mustang kit and noticed that there was some confusion, on what the finish of the chassis looks like. Now this and also those returning questions like, “what color is this part, on that year model X”, got me thinking on a topic I’ve touched before in the past, which is: Wouldn’t it be useful for us model builders if model companies, could post some sort of photo album on their site, for every kit in their catalog. They already have the photos, because they used them to tool up the kit, so why not make them available "on-line" to their customers? IMHO when clicking on the online catalog photo of kit x, y, z.., short cuts will lead you to the building instructions and a photo page, as per building sequence. I’ve seen that some manufacturers add photo’s (some in B&W) on their building instructions, but I think they're too small to be useful, but when online, one could select and if you don't like staring at a computer screen when building, print the photo you need. Anyway…, what I would like is your opinion on the matter! Thanks for your input. Luc Janssens

Revell needs to release a pre-painted (in this color) version of this kit, for the holiday season. Can't wait to see your kit finished David! -
FULL BUILD REVIEW: 1/12 Revell Shelby Mustang GT500

yummy! Keeping an eye on the progress!! BTW, David since you seem to know Ed, can you ask him if they could do a 1/12 '69 Charger? -
Do you shop online?
Luc Janssens replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The reason that I shop online is, because American kits are hard to find here and when a batch of them does arrive, they're a lot more expensive, then when I order them online from ebay from a US vendor. Kits of European manufacturers I do buy at stores or swapmeets, cuz they tend to be much more expensive when you order them online (shipping charges) When I'm visiting in the US it's mixed, I may have a stack of kits which I bought online waiting at a friend, but I love to check out the local stores, and buy until my suitcases and carry-on baggage are full... last time I even met a MC boardmember who works at a hobby store in Chicagoland. -
Revell 1/12 Mustang GT500 now on Revell`s site
Luc Janssens replied to Hawk312's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I saw the build up at I-hobby last fall, and fell in love with it.... I'll order one later this year, to put in under the Christmas tree, chances are that some aftermarket updates sets will be available by then. -

And then he sees your face, when you find out the tires melted into the clear parts and that the body is a short-shot. Priceless!! -
We're having a heat wave...
Luc Janssens replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Harry, can we do trade? Send some sun our way and I'll. give you some (or a lot of) rain.. It's supposed to be summer here, but has been raining since last week, with temps in the high 60s, sometimes low 70s..... -
Was surfing the net and was wondering if there would be anything new on Dave Metzner's photo album...then I noticed that the Hudson Hornet test shot album was updated 7 days ago...so here goes... Click here

Like I wrote it's a re-pop of an old ('80s) Esci kit, IIRC it's the only 1/24 scale military kit they have done. Italeri themselves, did a WWII Jeep (stock a fire vehicle) & Opel Blitz (stakebed & firetruck), but none were merchandised as military vehicles, Hasegawa did with a WWII Jeep and Kubelwagen. Too bad Hasegawa never did a GMC Jimmy, that is what would've brought in the bacon...though if you want one in 1/24 scale, one can buy a resin kit.

The Future is Now!
Luc Janssens replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You'll need a license for when the computer crashes, or when parameters not fed into the program makes it go berserk, hmmm that sounds like a plot for some blockbuster Hollywood movie... -
Looking forward seeing the results...

No love for Dodge?
Luc Janssens replied to Larryhagmansliver's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Glad that I bought two when they were new, BTW I like the way Revell did the grille with the seperate insert, too bad they didn't engineer the basic and Lightning F-150s the same way.
