  1. In which kits one would be able to find these parts? Or...is there a resin caster who has all the hardware, needed to build a HD truck? Interesting read guys!!
  2. Interesting info, guys. Can anyone here point me to good sites with chassis photo's? Thx again.
  3. I'm wondering if they will be able to shorten the lead times on the development of modern Nascar racers, something you don't have to worry about, when you're releasing something like a Petty Superbird. Also any news if they will be WOF or full glue kits?
  4. I have to agree with Art... I assume....it's like in the 1:1 car world, the sedans and hardtops are embraced by car enthusiasts, because they're cheap and easy to work with, I assume there are more customized versions, then that there are "restored to factory specs" examples out there, I bet everyone here knows some guy who's tinkering with one, they're like big scale model kits, lots of aftermarket parts available and you can even drive it, how much better does it get? A convertible as nice a car it is, is rare due to fewer produced and even fewer who survived the tin worm, so much more expensive and also the structure and weight of a convertible always compromises a good performance/drag setup. So IMHO a convertible kit, if released will sell to a small contingent of car modelers, and after a few dozen or so years will bring top dollar on ebay, due to is rarity. Again I'm assuming here, you guys have to remember I'm looking at this from a distance.
  5. Perfect! Thanks for the info Chuck!
  6. Sorry to pull this old tread, but does anyone have the outer diameter in mm of the rims? Thanks in advance Luc
  7. Thank you Jordan, for the info on the tire and the great link, I already saved it into my favorites folder. Thanks again!!! Luc
  8. I would like a photo of the tires and the in- outside diameter and width (in mm) from them if possible. Thanks in advance Luc
  9. Found the following on the Revell Germany website, for more, please click on the following links: http://www.revell.de/?id=1004&L=1 http://www.revell.de/?id=1005&L=1
  10. That's our national food, we must eat it ones a week, or we are deported to Holland LOL Ever been to Belgium? Thanks Joe!
  11. Normally I ask my wife to buy a kit, but the ones I'm interested in are not released yet, so she took me to a nice restaurant.
  12. Hey, thanks guys!!!! BTW Greg, you've put way too many candles on my cake, I'm not that old. May I have the keys for your Charger now? :) :)
  13. Still remember the Monogram catalogs having a monthly release plan, which was pretty much followed I seem to recall...
  14. Tamiya lost it's edge on 1/35 armor, certainly if you look at what Tasca crancks out these days....their Sherman tanks are amazing. Maybe they should start another scale ;^)
  15. IMHO the box-art alone was great, the kits themselves a big dissapointment. I had the Fury NYPD version, and remember the body being too boxy, the roof line is a joke. But like many I was tricked into buying one, after seeing the "Kager" adds in the German model magazine, Model Fan ... Anyway the Mpc Rosco, TJ Hooker, Joker and Gotham city police car are much better representations of that era Monaco, provided you come up with better tires, wheels and light bars (the Mpc Dodge Force 440 is a good source for a lightbar like the ones the LAPD used) Correction, the CHP used.
  16. Mine came in yesterday too, together with the Hudson 'vert. Cool kits, keep 'm coming Moebius!!!! Paid $23 for my copy, without shipping of course....
  17. The box-art style reminds me of the same era Mpc street machines, which is kinda normal, since they were both owned by the same company, General Mills fundimentions. IIRC Too bad the Yanks, couldn't convince the Brits to abandon the 1/32 scale for automotive kits and use 1/24 instead.....
  18. Too, bad no one does the new style Dodge Ram"s, believe it or not but they're a big hit here in the Antwerp area, of the 10 P/U's I see, 8 are Ram's. It's a fiscal thing, cuz since they are trucks the owners pay far less taxes then or a car with the same engine displacement. Also many run on LPG
  19. IIRC unless you ordered the resin chassis, from Perry, you'd be better off with using the '80 Monte, because the chassis of the El Camino is too long, even for the wagon.
  20. Perry's resin has/had a '81 Malibu 2dr & wagon in it's lineup, I have the wagon and it's beautifull, you just need the mpc '80 Monte Carlo for the underpinnings....
  21. IIRC American Satco was the US distributor for Aoshima, they also sold tires sets of Aoshima origin as well as their own designs...but the story ended...
  22. There's a reason for that small box...being.... You'd have to build it, cuz there's no way you can put it back into it. ;^) BTW I like the mold alignment on the bumpers, the seams are "almost" invisible,
