The Future is Now!
Luc Janssens replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You'll need a license for when the computer crashes, or when parameters not fed into the program makes it go berserk, hmmm that sounds like a plot for some blockbuster Hollywood movie... -
Looking forward seeing the results...

No love for Dodge?
Luc Janssens replied to Larryhagmansliver's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Glad that I bought two when they were new, BTW I like the way Revell did the grille with the seperate insert, too bad they didn't engineer the basic and Lightning F-150s the same way. -
International Lone Star "Europe"
Luc Janssens replied to eagle2159's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I doubt it, I fear the combination is too long when a trailer is hooked up. Here in Belgium a tractor-trailer combo can't be over 16.50 meters and a truck with trailer not over 18.75 meter. There are test planned to allow longer (25 meters) combo's on certain freeways and through roads, but dunno if it's gonna fly here in over-congestion-ed Antwerp. I think if one makes it here it will be kind of a show truck.... -
Moebius Lonestar notes

Dave just a thought.... Maybe also post this info on the Moebius website, so people who do not surf the modeling board also have access to that info, print it and put it inside their kit for future reference... -

Don't know what the modus operandi of Moebius is, but do hope that European distributors, after placing their orders with Moebius in the US, can have the merchandise shipped directly from China, otherwise I fear we're in for a big sticker shock. Lets keep our fingers crossed -
Revell New Release announcements?
Luc Janssens replied to Rob Hall's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I don't know about you guys, but I find Revell is doing a great job, just look at the under-body & -hood detail from the '10 Camaro, and the engine bay of the '10 Mustang coupe..... and this all at roughly half the price of a Tamiya curbsite. Thanks for showing these photo's Gregg!! -

I'll play, but I would change the scale in 1/25 (please note, that this is a dream list, and know that many of these subjects are/were available as resin copies of vintage kits, offered in a different scale, or findable annuals on the secondary market) -'68 Dodge Coronet -'69 Chrysler New Yorker -'68 Chevy Chevelle -'69 Chevy Impala -'69-'70 Cadillac Deville -'70 Plymouth Hemi 'cuda -'70 Dodge Charger -'71 Dodge Demon -'71 Dodge Challenger R/T -'72 Ford LTD -'72 Chevy Caprice -'72 Ford Grand Torino GTS -'76 Ford Grand Torino -'76 Ford Grand Torino country squire -'76 Ford LTD -'77 Chevy Impala -'77 Ford Thunderbird -'87 Chrysler LeBaron I will ad more later....

Hello all, I'm wondering what European automotive subjects you as a North American, wish to see as a 1/24 scale plastic model kit. BTW please also post the State you're living in (CA, MN, IL, MI, Alberta, Quebec, etc.....) It's no poll, just wondering what lives, on the other side of the big pond. Thanks in advance for participating!! Luc Janssens Belgium

Harry, You should see the parts flow for the assembly of a 1:1 automobile. -
Revell New Release announcements?
Luc Janssens replied to Rob Hall's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Last year they released the flyer, May 1st. So guess we have to wait and see, what happens in a few days from now... -
Nope, Nada, zip.... Most likely in the past, sales of Beemer kits didn't meet expectations, therefore no new tools, maybe because people are buying die-casts to put on their shelves....

Maybe a Belgian (me) should run the model kit division, and don't worry I will continue the co-operation with round-2 as it's part of the merger One major change that will be in effect right after the contract is signed, every kit will come in a chocolate box, and the instructions will be printed on a coaster.
