MPC The Super Judge funny car chassis.
AC Norton replied to w451973's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
most mpc 67-70 era funny car kits. they were not all identical, but the basic parts all seem to be. best I can remember from several builds about a million years ago...lol...the ace......... -
nice job, Phillip. dying to jump in on one of these kits asap. like the light blue with blue glass. congrats, the ace........

What 1/25 Kits Were Molded in Orange?
AC Norton replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
one of the 70s issue revel 54 chevys was, and the new round2 40 ford coupe can be got in orange, or white if the buyer has and sense...........that's all I can think of, as I never think about any kits unless they are in white.....i'm with scott on that one..the ace.. -
I can hear that little injected small block just bellow thru every corner....outstanding work, just love it.....the ace....

thanks for that info, frank. I won't be jumping in on one of these kits just yet, but that's useful to hear. I have heard other builders had problems with parting lines with this truck as well.......that aside, this looks like a neat project, and I am watching your progress closely.......best, the ace.

brett, I have heard from some reliable sources that its not even assured that that 12 pack contains an orange one......jump in if you can shed any light.............ace...

hi Mitchell, actually, they come moulded in white,,,but as a collector gimmick, amt has made 1 in 12 the metallic orange as I show. if you are lucky enough to pop one open that's the orange, you have one that is considered a bit rare, I suppose, but I think sticking with a common white one is the way to go for building. I bought 3 the same day at a shop run by a friend, and luckily got the orange one opening the last one. chances are that you will get a white one if you buy one,,,,,but you may get lucky......best, the ace...........

hi gene, yes, I love the Tamiya bright red as well,,,and no doubt it will look great on your awb mustang. just something to note....this falcon has their pearlcoat over the red, and, it does give it that 60s killer fleck appearance, but as with most clears, it does change the color tone somewhat...please keep it in mind, and please post pics of your stang when completed.......good luck,,the ace........

I could not possibly have said that better, bill.....ace......

hi Jeremy, those parts have been on the trees for old mpc/ now amt 68-69-70 era original mustang kits, and thru the many re issues over the years. they are 60's era gasser/ funny car front suspension pieces to lift the front end and create the appearance that so many drag cars of that era were like. you may find them useful for one of your upcoming 6o's drag racer builds. hope this explains just a bit.......the ace.. ..

I have photos I took at Columbus in '86 at the springnationals...if I can find them I will post them,,,but the interior was all black, no back seat, etc...the reason it comes to mind is my friend that went with us on this trip said he would build his mpc original 70 cuda as this car,...pretty easy to build, white car, black interior,,,,if at the time, decals could be had for it, which they could not. ...the ace...

boy, how I wish those 68 Shelby fang tang decals were all over town,,,,,,,if you know what I mean. they look neat on this vintage build of yours, greg.........the ace.....

hello Robert, after reading your post a few minutes ago, i went to my stack and pulled one of the 2 sealed slingsters. I opened but one, and its perfect....all parts present, and nice chrome with little flash and good chrome coverage. maybe a different story when I pop the other open after I build the first,,, who knows.....the ace.........
