  1. I do not believe that it has the turbine. I tried to enlarge it but it appears to be the 1972 issue. I believe the turbine was only in the original issue from 1971.
  2. However look straight at the middle. Since I don't want to shell out basically my grocery funds for a week on an ERTL issued 4070, that Astro 95 may just do the trick. Especially in that livery. I had it back in the late '70's.
  3. This is what I found on the internet.
  4. This is great news. I'm gonna be a happy boy. I read on one of the online hobby shops it has a release date of April 2019. Is this more or less an accurate time frame. I love that truck.
  5. Very nice job. Clean as a whistle.
  6. Look's very nice Ken. I am not accustomed to you not having your traditional metalized type colors. Great job. I just got the DM600 as a gift and am probably painting it with a yellow cab, and either a dark green, dark blue, or semi gloss black frame and associated frame parts. Will get the MPC/AMT Tri axle dump trailer. Although not sure how the Gray/Blue Thunder Sand and Gravel decals will look on it.
  7. Pierre that is really quite a nice build. I picked that one up as one of my Christmas gifts for under the tree. Going to paint her Model Master Daytona Yellow with either a semi gloss Black, or a dark Green frame, axles, tanks, wheels, etc. The MPC Tri Axle dump trailer will be used. Just a quick question if I may. What possible issues may arise during the build? I have heard the hood sometimes is difficult to align with the cab. Thanks again for sharing the truck.
  8. Pretty sweet job Geoffrey. Quite nice all around.
  9. Thanks Geoffrey. It was picked out by my Son.
  10. Rick thanks. My best model I ever built.
  11. My Peterbilt 359. Done. The only issue is that the right rear set of drive wheels/tires is off the ground by about 1/8th of an inch or so. Need to fix that then she will be good.
  12. Thanks Tom. The only negative is that the furthest rear drive wheels on the right side are slightly off the ground while all other tires set flat. I can overlook it or work on it to get them even. Will ponder this and decide.
  13. My 1970's White Freightliner SD Day Hauler is almost finished. A few more things to do and she will be completed. The truck has been weathered with a few more spots to attend to. I like the way she has built up thus far.
  14. Jim thanks. I finally got one that I am happy with. Freightliner SD should be completed next week. I'll post that when she's finished.
  15. Thanks Richard. They may not be as involved as some others, but they build up relatively easily. Freightliner SD currently is my next one up. I will post her when she's done.
  16. I'm calling her done. My Revell Peterbilt 359 "Snap" kit. Everything is box stock except the visor which is from the Revell Germany 359 kit. The paint is Testors De Ja Blue lacquer, with Krylon Aluminum used for the visor. The interior was painted using craft acrylics. My son picked out both the color and the kit. Decals are a combination of AMT, and Revell. This was drama free fun, fun build.
  17. WOW man that's terrible. Glad he is okay.
  18. Only 3 things left to do (turn signals, rear lights, license plates) and she's finished. I have to say for such a simplistic kit vs. AMT, ERTL, Italieri, etc. it was a lot of fun to build. I will get more of these Revell Snap kits over time.
  19. Final decals done. The license plates just need to go on so I'm at a loss where the rear plate(s) will go, or if I have to use a rear plate. Nonetheless pretty happy with the result thus far. All that remains is mirrors, cab lights, air horns, turn signals, and the backup lights. Note the front visor is just laid on the top of the cab. Not painted yet. I'm thinking either blue, or silver.
  20. Those actually are the kit supplies wheels and tires. Surprisingly much better than the ones on my Revell 359 I built 2 years ago seen below.
  21. Thanks Brian. here are more update pics. 90% completed. Just need to finish the final detailing, some more decals, mirrors, marker lights, air horns, grab handles, and she's completed. Thinking the Revell W900 Aerodyne "Snap" kit next OR maybe another Peterbilt 359 "Snapper". Although I still have some AMT iron in the works, Pete 352, KW K123, White Freightliner SD, Diamond Reo 116, and a White Western Star all in various stages of buils. Winter projects I suppose.
  22. Good morning all hope everyone is well. More work done over the weekend on the 359. I'm about 80-85% done. Tonight I will work on the final decals on her and then over the balance of the week the final touches such as stacks, bumper, the remaining lights, air horns, mirrors, grab handles, and anything I may not have mentioned.
  23. Ken you’re quite welcome. Thankd for the posts of all your great projects.
  24. Can’t wait to see you build it. Quick question what builds easier the DM800 or the Autocar A64B? Thanks.
