I ordered from him a couple months ago and had no trouble. $12 CAD in parts and a $16 CAD shipping cost. $23 total for the order in US dollars. While the shipping seems high, the quality for the parts is awesome, so I look at it this way - I was satisfied spending $23 in total for what I got in the end. At first, I grumbled at the shipping cost. But, It’s funny, if the parts were priced higher and the shipping was lower, I wouldn’t have thought twice. He also sells on eBay. You could check and see the shipping costs there, too. They might be better. The order arrived within 3 weeks of placing it. Not too bad coming from B.C. to Michigan.

If you’re going for a more modern air bag equipped Freightliner FLC, I wonder if you went with the chassis and/or rear suspension from the FLD 120, you’d be all set? I think the both have air bags on the rear, but if I remember correctly, the FLD has the more modern type. Of course if you want the real rubber ones, either one would work as a base for aftermarket parts.

I missed this one when you first started it. What an incredibly interesting and unique project. I really like it. Glad to see it’s still in the works. -

Just the right amount of weathering. Looks used but not abused. Great build. -
Really nice job. The opened grille looks great. Something that the kit should have in the first place. White can be a hard color to pull off - you did it very well.

Keep it up, great work. I like the round wheel opening. I’d say it looks a little more vintage that way, but I’m sure they’re examples of modern units that have a round opening too, and visa versa. Understandable using the Coca Cola decals, not like there’s a shortage of those. I’d love to see Pepsi, or a lesser-known brand like Sundrop, Sunkist, or Faygo, but gotta go with what’s available. Heck, even RC Cola. Maybe there’s the block “Coke” rather than script “Coca-Cola” decals to be a little different?

A&N Model trucks will be doing a Kenworth w990

Resin & photo etch. They produce high quality parts. I’m so happy to see them come out with yet another modern truck. It looks like they’re going to offer a complete truck, everything you see in the 3d renderings, from the tires on up, including the very detailed chassis. But, I bet they’ll do what they did with the Argosy, and you can also just buy the basics - the hood, cab, interior, trim, and sleeper, and source the chassis, wheels, tires, and engine from an Italeri kit. They’re not cheap, but A&N’s offerings dwarf all the mainstream kit manufacturers in detail and accuracy. Not to mention, modern subjects that are not available anywhere else. -

Oh boy, this one is going to be great! A project of this caliber requires capable hands, and I have no doubt you’re up to the challenge. It looks fantastic so far. Count me in as a huge fan of this build. -

Welcome back! But, more importantly, let’s all welcome your son into the hobby - Quite possibly the best outcome of all. -
Very cool! I love the RV models, and the very unique diorama setting you used to display them. The very best dioramas, in my opinion, are the ones that showcase the everyday, often mundane, world around us. The common, yet unnoticed, scenes that tell the story of our typical lives. This serves that purpose, and does it well.

AMT 1/25 Caterpillar D8H Decals?

Jerry at Modeltruckin.com has just what you’re looking for, and the price is good. And, if you want to go the extra mile, CTM just came out with three photo etched detail sets. They are great sets. You can order direct or stsupply.com (on eBay too) and Moluminum.com both carry Czech Truck Model products. CTM, in general, is highly recommended. -

I don’t recall seeing a frame stretch on an AMT Reo before. Like others have said, it looks really nice. Like the color choices for the paint, too. -

Rare to see a Louisville with a sleeper, both on the forum and back in the day on the road. Unique, and I like it. -
Looking great! The dropped frame makes it stand out. Too bad most of it will go unseen with the body in place. But, that’s what we builders do. We know it’s there. I was just pondering the strength of the modified chassis on the 1:1 trucks. I’m wondering how much the body helped to reinforce it. Probably not much? But, I suppose the trucks were not usually put through too much beyond what they were designed for.

Looks great with the lift axle and rack. Maybe front floats to round out the heavy haul package? -

Keeping the 8v71n or swapping it out? Either way it’ll be a good project. Looking forward to watching it come together.
