  1. great build of a stunning car, those splash paints came out nicely - aided i'm sure by your skills!
  2. cool mustang, and looks great in day-glow yellow!
  3. Airfix kits do tend to be hit and miss, the troubles you hit aren't visible in the finished model!
  4. Finally finished, most issues I had with this kit were self inflicted, it is designed well, and goes together well. there is a WIP topic on this forum too. pleased with the result, and sits on the display shelf next to its competition the Jag XKR Finished in Zero Gulf colours (got the Porsche 917 gulf colours set) and 2K clear on top. Rest of it is Zero Lacquers or Tamiya Acrylics. Only modification was the grill behing the side vents, otherwise, it's box stock... comments welcome....
  5. The front bumper wouldn't fit due to a clash between the extreme top left and right back areas of this front end air intake, they were clashing with the underside of the lamp units. The 2nd image shows how much had to be cut to get it to fit Net up will be finished images, unless I have any further disasters!
  6. The wing mirror pieces were almost 2 times too big to fit. A lot of the supporting material had to be cut to fit, the 2nd photo shows one before, and one after the chop
  7. Also added some mesh, I doubt it will be visible in the finished model...
  8. Taken apart, the clear parts were sanded, polished, waxed, redid the eyeliner, the lamp units had to be sanded and re-sprayed. Back to where we were!
  9. Looking forward to the Ferrari! How your fiber gets better soon
  10. Thanks Dann, yet another build giving me heartache. Made a rookie mistake, I did glue in the headlamp lenses with PVA, then u messed up and put the light cluster in with CA, and it fogged up... Well be taken apart and sanded...
  11. Closures are a nice addition to a kit, but they can cause trouble! your car still looks amazing!
  12. That chrome detailing is very sharp, Looks stunning!
  13. Looking Good Dann, another one close to the finish line... Good tip mixing pva with acrylic on the buckles, and an excellent save on the flocking. My flocking Congress out similar to the one in your first image - I can blame the material now!
  14. Cool looking car!
  15. Only thing left now is to pick out the black and aluminium details on the shell... Then final assembly!
  16. Unfortunately, when taking the Tamiya tape off, it pulled some of the clear coat with it... But I'm not looking for perfection here. I went ahead and clear coated - this time with zero 2k. It came out far from perfect, but to my eyes, it's s save!
  17. Thanks Slush! I have sanded the underside from 400 grit to 1000 grit Tamiya wet and dry Then masked for touching up the black where I'd sanded through the base coat to the primer.
  18. Superb, sparkly and gangsta all at the same time...!
  19. Amazing detailed work here! Super cool model!
  20. Came out perfectly, no dust! Them masked to do the bottom side with 1k zero Disaster! I'm going to try to send it out.
  21. As is often the case in this hobby, 3 steps forward, one step back! I thought about how to mount the rear spoiler for clear coat. I failed at one attempt to mount on the recesses and spray it all in one go. It kept falling off from the pressure of the airbrush. So, I did the top side first, masked and did the bottom after. Top side with 2k zero seen here
