Hi Kurt, I did this kit a few years ago, here's the wip and finished car links: I thought it was a great kit, so I bought another one!
-
If my 2k came out like that, I wouldnt touch it again, great paint finish!
-
Andre, I had a blue version of this kit in the 80's, it was my first ever car kit, and my second ever plastic kit... And I still have it! Yours is looking great!
-
And this is where I am now. 2 remaining points - the seat belt hanger I added is conflicting with the glazing, I'm going to heat it and bend it in, or cut it off and put a spacer in And the tail light is yet to be done... this will be my lock down build - hopefully complete within 1 week - the quickest I've ever completed a build - by far!

Thanks Alex, I think this is the route i'll take Thanks Fabrizio! Thanks Kurt, I will definately try the tape method on a future build, I'd never have thought of it, great tip! Good suggestion on the Smoke Matthijs, I will be doing that too, but i'll still hand paint the colour, and mask/AB the black... unfortunately I've snapped the tail light peice whilst painting it... Doh! The clear plastic is so much more brittle than the coloured stuff...

The 308 is one of my favourites, love your build

Looks like a cool kit -
yeah, I/m not so keen on 1:20 either - nothing wrong with the scale, but it would be the only car I'd have at that scale & wouldn't fit in anywhere! And they are now pricey...
-
Interior finished today, detailing and assembly took the last full week! I'm pleased with it, but most of the work was done by Tamiya quality moulding and detailing - I can't take all the credit here!
-
I really don't know how to do this tail light, its being hand painted, but its prominent in the final assembly, and hand painted, will not look very good... Any Suggestions?

Body shell 99% complete, just needs a clean & wax, then the window pieces and lights. was sanded with micromesh and polished with heavy scratch & light scratch Nuovos polish. Most of the details ahve also been picked out - like the side indicator lights & the black window surrounds
-
Man, good luck for a 2 week build andrews that temptation to over detail!
-
Agree with the comments, the colour really sparkles and suits the subject, it's a shame the panel lines came out so dark...

It's like 1 kit finished every day! Really sharp looking mod, how do you keep duat out of your gloss coat? Do you shoot outside, or on doors? -

Never seen one of these in real life, or as a built kit, but it looks great, especially with those wheels
