  1. Finally starting to show up on eBay; hope Model Roundup is rounding them up to ship now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/134926329078
  2. Rich, there's a custom rear bumper in the AMT '66 Mercury kit; it has a finely ribbed pattern that should give you what you need. You'll need one for each quarter panel. Should be easy to find since the kit's been reissued so many times.
  3. Hmm. OK, scattergun approach... '63 Falcon convertible? Sprint hardtop for the first time ever? First generation Barracuda? Woodie versions of the '36/'40 Fords, or the '41 Plymouth? '60 El Camino? That one was always popular but did have a lot of room for improvement. Maybe tool a '60 body for the '59 kit? Stock '67 Cougar? And If AMT previously sold an AMX from the Jo-Han molds, would you have the right to clone it since it was sold as an AMT kit? Again, hmm... And has Round2 looked into getting back the molds for the '66 Chevy pickup promo?
  4. "Bomb Nicaragua with Decorator Pillows" read an old ad by Al Greenwood, the Bedspread King.
  5. Just found out yesterday that this is also Bill Hickman at work, this time subbing for George C. Scott: Two identical '66 Valiant convertibles were smashed up making this scene
  6. Survive! was the quickie 1976 Mexican movie about the (chomp chomp) Andes soccer team plane crash; some of the dubbing for the English-language version was done by Peter Fernandez, better known as the voice of Speed Racer.
  7. Arriving today: Wreckage and parts of a '62 Falcon; gives me just enough added to the parts I have to do a '62 Ranchero conversion. Also a big surprise score at an antique mall in Rancho Mirage: An absolutely cherry '71 Maverick promo that was tagged at about half what nice ones go for on eBay: Never thought I'd find a deal on one. A good day!
  8. The wheels seem to have the same flat center bolt area as the originals, but better molded outer rims with vents. The originals without slots or hubcap bumps look almost exactly like the factory wheels found on the Continental Mk II, of all things. And usually at least one in each kit had a sink mark in the center.
  9. Bought earlier this month but didn't want to jinx it until it was in my hands: 1/24 Italeri (Revell version) Ferrari 275 GTB 4. Been wanting one for a long time and this one popped up in Germany for only €20; no box and no tracking/insurance on the shipping. Crossed my fingers and it got here OK, and the seller even threw in two little packets of Gummi Bears! It'll be built as perpetual '60s/'70s TV bad guy Peter Haskell's car from the ABC movie Love Hate Love: Figure I'll do it all banged up from the last chase scene. Already made the fake NY plates, ready to print:
  10. "Future" is what Eddie Albert renames himself in Captain Newman, M.D. when he has his mental breakdown.
  11. This works well too. Bye-bye:
  12. Imagine Imogene as Aunt Edna tied to the roof of the Family Truckster for a good giggle.
  13. South Carolina is where my friend and his spouse fled SoCal for, and they just bought a vintage house in Allendale conveniently located next to the police station.
  14. And the auto-translated subtitles on the video say basically the same thing.
  15. "Place" pays better than "Show" but not as good as "Win".
  16. Spotted on a YT video about humorously modified signs:
  17. "Try a little tenderness", sang Otis.
  18. I'm surprised not to see any pre-order listings on eBay yet.
  19. Nice! Are they still doing the "Human Paintbrush" skit?
  20. Chad on a tape loop saying "cool"
