  9. My boss has one of these plastic fantastics, an Allied Swallow (or what's left of one): Geoff over at Forgotten Fiberglass told my boss it was a cut-down coupe rather than a real roadster. Is that an MGTD frame under it?
  10. Cool! Volksrods were a thing here in SoCal in the late '60s/early '70s; Rod & Custom gave them pretty good coverage, then they seem to have faded away. Basically Fad T-bucket with a hood in the front (instead of the usual chromed SBC) and a VW powertrain tucked under the shortened pickup bed. Anyway, picked up a '67 Corvair dashboard and steering wheel - the only year from '65-'69 that AMT depicted the auto shifter on the dash; already have a Roth Road Agent for the Corvair Powerglide transmission so I can make my '69 an automatic. Also grabbed a clean early issue '65 GTO rear bumper cheeeeeep to get taillight lenses to help salvage a damaged promo.

  14. That's just remarkable, Bill! How does it compare in size to the Jo-Han '58 Fleetwood? I remember hearing those were made to "box scale" rather than exact 1/25; I know from experience their '59 and '60s were short compared to the Monogram kits.
  15. "Elusive Butterfly" from 1966 made Bob Lind a one-hit wonder.
  16. Lobby for them to bring back the 40%-off-everything coupons, and we'll agree.
  17. Something of a record, perhaps? With the recent promos on MeTV featuring Tony Dow and Jerry Mathers in character as Wally and Beaver, they have now played those same two roles for over sixty years.
