  1. Finally picked up a model of my first car, even if only in HO scale: It's the correct color, too - Shore Green. This one's been tough to find for some reason - either the wrong color or they're N scale, like HO wasn't small enough already...
  2. I've had my eyes open for a replacement exhaust/rear axle/driveshaft unit for a '66 GTO promo; fortunately the kit part is the same: Either it'll help me restore it, or help the next owner do the same (and help me sell or trade it ).
  3. Would be quite a surprise if they did, as the original kit wasn't exactly AMT/SMP's finest hour! Not looking forward to cutting door opening lines in the roof pillars, or reshaping the front end to fit the way better Revellogram grille - then there's the fact they used the six-taillight Impala rear bumper instead of the correct four-light promo bumper... Still I suppose it would attract buyers, given enough period decals and added accessories.
  4. Gotta wonder how some of those tools did survive - why was the '62 Buick saved and not the '62 Ford? Or the '61 Galaxie curbside and not the full detail convertible?
  5. My boss just got his base model after over a year and a half waiting; first thing he did was have the wheels powder-coated black: And a sad story from the Bronco6G forum: At least two buyers had their new Broncos written off by a hailstorm in Omaha just before delivery : https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/devastated-2yr-old-reservation-total-loss-from-hail-storm-right-before-delivery.47144/
  6. Wait a minute. Non-stock, hasn't been seen in forever, will need some cloning to bring back - Uh oh.
  7. Yep, it's IMC - I recognize that separate windshield frame. I bet the side panels of the grille were made from the '57 Buick grille in the AMT Custom Bumpers and Grilles pack.
  8. I thought for a moment they might have resurrected the XR-6, but I can't see it being that popular a seller. Maybe the custom '32 sedan?
  9. There were a few back then, mostly by JoHan. Ironically, your Buick's roof can be used to convert the Jo-Han '62 Fleetwood four-door into a Coupe deVille.
  10. One of the more briefly seen cars from American Graffiti:
  11. WOW - I'd never have guessed. MPC maybe would have taken a shot at it, with all the odd stuff they produced (and we did end up with the '32 Chevy double kit).
  12. What about the engine from the '65 Olds 88 Modified Stocker? Transmission would have to be changed to the earlier one.
  13. Build ONE of TWO Versions: MODEL TRAVESTY Somehow I doubt we'll be seeing that on the box art anytime soon.
  14. UFO license, eh? How about Straker's car in 1/25?
  15. Hmm. Curbside with rolling wheels... Wonder if this is going to be an update on the Hero '66 Imperial? Would probably just use the hood, chassis (with promo engine insert) and wheel backs.
  16. No he won't, not in a million years. He appreciates original vintage machinery - in fact the only modified car in his collection is a nicely rodded '57 Chevy truck he bought from the estate of a childhood friend.
  17. Real well done so far! Looks like a funeral home flower car. I have a '59 Craftsman Continental that's too nice to cut up, but I did scrounge a batch of '59-'60 T-bird gluebombs I'm going to do the same thing with:
  18. Great idea! My boss lucked onto what's probably the lowest-mile Executive existing; only 1861 original miles. As found:
