  1. Nope, a bit too early, but you're warm in one way: Seven Days in May and the movie in question both feature three of the same actors. One actor previously worked for Alfred Hitchcock, one previously worked for Blake Edwards, and the other previously worked for Stanley Kubrick. (This is fun, but it's gonna take a whole page to write out the answers to the clues!) (Oh, it's not The Longest Day, either.)
  2. Nope. More hints? One member of the large cast started his career with Citizen Kane and ended it with Heaven's Gate. Another only made two American films but was in another film in his home country that became a comedy when it was dubbed into English.
  3. Still nope. Submarines were involved, partly - but think small, very small. and not very successful.
  4. Previous one was Fargo. Nope. A couple more clues: Another of the movie's actors (in a small but historically significant role) used to work for Desi Arnaz, while another (in the extended version only) was better known for playing a character in a long-running film series; that character's name was in the title of this movie.
  5. I'm still posting! Let's try again. "Now what in the hell is going on? Well, why wasn't the Army notified? And did anyone think to inform Washington? Ahh, I thought so..." Hint: Actor won two Oscars (neither was for this role). So did the movie.
  6. "Yes, Mommie Dearest!"
  7. Voice of Music was a long-forgotten brand of hi-fi and stereo equipment; but I remembered it, so maybe it hasn't been that badly forgotten.
  8. Prize is whatcha git when ya pries open a box o' Cracker Jack.
  9. Behavior modification can be used to help get rid of nasty habits like smoking or drinking or eating other people's crayons.
  10. People who need people are the luckiest people in the world!
  11. Ago Go was a famous L.A. club whose name began with Whisky; how's that for convoluted?
  12. Better get Maaco.
  13. All you have to do is take a big tablespoonful after every meal!
  14. Is you is or is you ain't my baby?
  15. With an Auto World Auto Cutter, you can open trunks, hoods and doors all too easily, rendering the entire body useless!
  16. "Police release me, let me go" is what Engelbert Humperdinck says when he's pulled over for speeding.
  17. One thing about the box art: The roofline on the Impala looks kind of square; on a hunch, I checked the Old Car Manual Project. Sure enough, the AMT artist must have cribbed the Impala from this brochure illustration of a four-door hardtop: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Chevrolet/1963_Chevrolet/1963_Chevrolet_Brochure-1/1963 Chevrolet-04.html
  18. Something different you could do with a certain Revell kit. Now who makes a 1/25 scale horse?
  19. Nothing? OK. Hint: The director's second film, featuring a cameo by the "star" of his first film.
  20. Cars hits like "Drive" and "Just What I Needed" generated lots of radio airplay.
  21. Mind over matter - if you don't mind, it don't matter.
