  1. Someone posted this on my car club's Facebook page - a bargain at half the price?? https://palmsprings.craigslist.org/cto/d/floresville-1941-czechoslavakian-tatra/7157203485.html
  2. Nice piece! The individual boxes would be good for pouring small rubber part molds.
  3. It's happened to me; I got a stronger 10-watt LED UV light to cure it and let it go for several minutes, and it helped. Part of the issue may be the light's NM wavelength rating; 365nm is supposed to be best for the Alumilite AlumiUV resin I have. Higher values like 395-405nm supposedly don't cure as well. Alumilite recommends a 300 watt 365nm light for the best and fastest cure (about 3-5 seconds); there's one on eBay for $86 I may be picking up soon: https://www.ebay.com/itm/300W-365NM-395NM-405NM-UV-Curing-Light-UV-Light-Invisible-Inks-Fluorescence-Lamp/254536481014?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=554235880878&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 I'd like to be able to cure taillight lenses much faster as when you dye the resin red, the longer it sits under the UV light, the more it fades the dye back to clear!
  4. Did a little bidding, a lot of watching, and picked up a savable '59 T-bird body: Adding it to my Squarebird junkpile (a '59 interior, two '60 convertible bodies, one '60 chassis and a complete but warped-as-usual '60 promo) it looks like I have almost enough to do that two-seater extended-wheelbase flower car conversion. Also got windows for the Hubley '60 Ford wagon to replace the glass that got ruined in the purple pond - a $14.99 mistake . Got outbid on a rear bumper, so still looking...
  5. '62 Chrysler Newport convertible (got two I'm trying to salvage) and '62 Imperial Crown four-door hardtop (got one nearly finished). It's possible the Newport mold may have mag wheels as it got those in its second issue (the Metalflake series). They're not as crisply molded as the Jo-Han Chrysler 300 and AMT Imperial coupe were, but still very buildable and good-looking. Thing is, at least according to Ron Sexton, Atlantis already has the Mopar molds (minus tires and glass).
  6. I've used foil and UV resin to make emblems and trim, but I use Bare-Metal or Molotow on the emblems afterward instead of trying to do it in one go. I'm thinking about getting a 300 watt UV light so the items will cure more thoroughly and quickly.
  7. Here, kitty - AAAARRRGGHHH!
  8. A Matter of Life and Death (US title Stairway to Heaven), 1946, starring David Niven and Kim Hunter. Very sentimental, but has some good lines - all the scenes set in heaven are in black and white; one of the angels complains "We don't have Technicolor up here yet!"
  9. Aw, c'mon - you two look cute together.
  10. Quick! These are up with no bids, ending Thursday afternoon: https://www.ebay.com/itm/AMT-1964-OLDS-F-85-CUTLASS-CONV-ORIGINAL-TAIL-LIGHTS-4-CIRCA-1964/233639590879?hash=item3666013bdf:g:pyAAAOSwFIJfANdH https://www.ebay.com/itm/AMT-1964-OLDS-F-85-CUTLASS-CONV-ORIGINAL-TAIL-LIGHT-BEZEL-4-CIRCA-1964/233639592751?hash=item366601432f:g:VZgAAOSwNlNfANfG Resin lenses, slightly cheaper/make offer: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Acme-Resin-Casting-AMT-1964-Olds-Cutlass-F85-Tail-Lights/233591331723?hash=item366320db8b:g:YW8AAOSwru1eJQ8T Good luck!
  11. Awesome, just beautiful, Jean!
  12. Major score! Let me know if you don't need the wire wheelcovers/knockoffs and four bar spinners...
  13. 1932 Ford what? Looks like Vicky's done got pregnant!
  14. Well, I can see that one . Maybe I'd better switch back to Windows 98.
  15. Guess I'm lucky this machine still runs XP, because I can't see it: From your descriptions, it's just as well...
  16. Thanks for the info, Alan! Got my '62 soaking off the last of its paint and decals, and ground the roof overlay and custom tail pieces off the Ranchero body. The roof will need a lot of puttying/sanding. Looking forward to how your Ute progresses!
  17. Nope - '55 from the grille and side trim. Nice mild custom, though.
  18. Many many times. Of course, the movie is set during spring break, after which they roll up the sidewalks, the locals hunker inside with A/C or swamp coolers at full tilt, and the snowbirds head back to Canada until the fall.
  19. It's a very shortened 1949 Plymouth convertible. Typical dune buggy from before they were all VWs. See also the cut-down '39 Plymouth in Eegah!.
